A medal will be issued by the MKCF, to commemorate the legacy of His Late Highness Maharajah Vikram Dev Varma Bahadur, the altruist king who was the biggest torchbearer of education in Kalinga. The medal will be awarded to exceptional scholars and artists annually.

Jeypore’s Simha Dwara (Lion Gate) was one of the most attractive grand gateway entrances in India. Tourists flocked to get a view of this magnificent architecture. It was a heritage of Kalinga until it collapsed due to the neglect of the government and the royal family.

This old silver piece of depicting Lord Surya (Sun), resembles the crest of Jayapur Suryavansh, often seen in throne, howdah and other places.

The 32 stepped ‘Battish Simhasana’ was constructed on a hillock in Nandapur and each step is dedicated to a Yakshini.

In Puranas, 32 Yakshini are powerful, divine female entities, who are attendants of Lord Shiva. They are invoked in Tantric rituals and grant wishes.

Jeypore’s Kala-O-Kalakar committee of Artists invited the Maharaja Sahab to inaugurate the Pushpuni Parb of 2026.

It is a cultural festival held on the full moon of Pausha month, which celebrates the folk traditions of our tribes.

We are proud to announce that the M.K.C.F made a donation of One Lakh Six Thousand Rupees in honour of the Diamond Jubilee of our Border Security Forces. The fund was distributed as prize money to the winners of the BSF run.

Gurudwara Datan Sahib is one of the most renowned, sacred place of Sikhs throughout the country. It commemorates the visit of Guru Nanak Dev and is located on the banks of Mahanadi in Cuttack, Odisha.

The Maharaja met the team of @khantikoraputia a very talented group of artists from Jeypore who have successfully built the most subscribed YouTube channel in Odisha, which is not only a matter of pride for them but the whole Southern Odisha.

Both Araku and Koraput coffee plantations were due to the diligent efforts of the Jeypore Maharajas who brought coffee from the Nilgiris.

Odisha government and district administration are known for suppressing and undermining Jeypore’s history and contributions.

Maharaja Vikram Dev Varma was a life member of the Utkal Sammilani and served as the president of its 10th session in 1914. His contribution to Andhra was no less significant. He genuinely cared for and advocated the betterment of both the Odia and Telugu people of his country.

Rebuilding this will be a big challenge but it will be rebuilt as promised. It may take time because we are going to build it as it was. We are currently looking for a highly skilled architect.

The ‘Simha Dwāra’ main gate of Jeypore Palace was a famous historical landmark because of its size and intricate design.

It was unique because it was one of the few grand palace gates in India, other than the Buland Darwaza of Fatehpur Sikri. Many tourists flocked to see it.
