- I did the thing. I finished my book! I passed my 235 page goal!
- I still have work left to do to get to the end of the story, but that's only due to my changing ideas

I'm writing a later scene in my graphic novel with the knowledge of a planned rewrite in my head.

A character that previously was well is now seriously ill, and I can't help think that it gives off real "I got the test results back" vibes from The Room.

What do other writers do when they have a massive character overhaul planned when midway through? Do you write to the original plan or the new?

I want to push to the end of the first draft and don't want to get bogged down in rewrites at this point.
