@joecrjoe@mark_slapinski You’re putting every Albertan in the same box which is probably one of many reasons why some of them may want to leave. Want to chat about the Quebec separatists too while we’re at it? Most of them voted Liberal this past election.
@USAmbCanada Ambassador, please do better than this. You should be trying to foster positive relations between the two countries not causing further divisions by sharing this garbage. You repeatedly say you don’t understand why Canadians are angry, this… this is why.
@Lou00Jaffe@kinsellawarren You keep saying that like you haven’t already made up your mind. I don’t care what you think. I will however challenge this garbage propaganda that attempts to sway undecided or leave leaning voters that they can have it both ways when they will not. Let’s have a fair referendum.
@Lou00Jaffe@kinsellawarren No. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t seperate and expect to use Canadian currency or passports etc. Why would Canada offer Albertans dual citizenship? You assume Canada is going to let Alberta leave without giving you a hard time about it. Bad assumption.
Canada purchasing the Saab AEW&C is not a snub at the United States or Boeing for that matter. Rather it’s a strategic partnership between Canadian flagship aviation company Bombardier (which the platform is based off of already) and Swedens Saab. It just makes sense.
Qatar and the UAE produce a lot of cheap aluminum but with it offline due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Canada has a strategic opportunity to lock in our Aluminum exports to Europe with no tariffs.
PM Carney: "Today, as part of our steadfast commitment to defend Canada and to protect our allies, I'm pleased to announce that Canada has entered into negotiations to procure SAAB's airborne early warning and control aircraft."
Both administrations seem to have a communication problem. Canada took this paper as a request while The Pentagon more or less sent it as an order. If NORAD is going to survive, we’ve got to do better by working together constructively and with mutual respect.
@alexthegreat997@CityNewsTO Separation is a two way street and our constitution clearly defines what that means. In essence you’re right, they won’t be allowed to leave even if they voted yes. I honestly don’t believe they would vote to leave anyway.
Premier Danielle Smith says Albertans will be going to the polls in October to cast their vote on separation – but they won’t actually be voting on whether to separate. https://t.co/LqSdWQPKAl
Enbridge "definitely would consider" backing a new oil pipeline to Canada’s west coast, its CEO said, giving an early vote of confidence hours after Mark Carney signed an energy deal with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith https://t.co/QszNYDlGxi

We shouldn’t be surprised as many other companies are pausing their EV programs. The demand isn’t there in North America and I think Honda is smart to focus on hybrids and more fuel efficient vehicles rather than costly EVs.
