@WinterSportsLaw What’s it called when the NCAA makes a ruling & the court overturns it?They don’t rely on the Gov’t,the Gov’t goes against almost every ruling the NCAA makes.Stop taking cases to judges that are grads of schools in question. Better yet, stand by what the NCAA rules in 1st place.
I’ll never understand this “opener” in baseball. Warren is a reliever, not at starter. Peterson is a a starter. He hasn’t been pitching well but disrupting his routine and brining him in the 2nd inning can’t help. Now, you have 2 pitchers that are out of their normal routine.
Lead off double and then 2 bunts??? Glad the manager has faith in his players. If you had major league players batting 8th and 9th you wouldn’t have to do that.
So having an appointment at DMV just means getting in an obscenely long line at a specified time instead of just showing up randomly to wait in the same long line.
I get that it’s a small sample size but this “new” team plays the same uninspired, fundamentally poor baseball that last season’s team did. This falls on leadership at every level. Of course Stearns believes in what he put together. Anything else would be admitting failure.
Steve Cohen has given David Stearns "at least some assurances" that his job is safe, per @AnthonyDiComo:
"Mets officials believe in the roster they have constructed and the process that led them to this point, even as success has not followed."
@JonHeyman Seems like Mendoza was the manager for the collapse and embarrassment of last season, too. They’ve been playing very poorly since last May. They both need to go.
If you believe your $340 million roster is under performing then you have to fire the manager. If you believe you’re $340 million roster is not capable of performing any better than this then you have to fire the general manager. Either way, something has to be done
@MetsdUp@Miss_Met I had tickets in 12th row behind the Mets dugout for tomorrow’s game and I’m not going. I have no interest in this team/organization until changes are made.
10-game losing streak thoughts:
The lack of emotional connection we have to players on this Mets team is hard to ignore. I mean, shit. I want to win more than anything. But if they’re gonna keep losing like this, and the fan favorites are gone, then what are we even left with?
