This Sallah is a sacred reminder of devotion, faith, and the true meaning of sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
This season is not just about ceremony or tradition; it is a moment to renew our commitment to doing good, to offering help, and to putting others before ourselves. Let us be reminded that sacrifice and patience are not mere ideals — they are virtues we must live by daily.
May Allah continue to meet us at every point of need and grant us fulfilling celebration.

HAPPY NEW MONTH, EKITI KETE!!
I welcome you all to the month of June which offers a fresh chapter and opportunity to reflect, reset, and reach forward in hope.
This month carries some meaning. With the recent release of the timetable for the 2026 elections by INEC, we are reminded that the hour of true redemption is drawing closer. A time when the good people of Ekiti can finally part ways with a government that hides under empty words and performative humility, while our people continue to bear the burden of neglect and false promises.
Ekiti deserves more, not just leadership that looks the part, but leadership that does the work. Leadership that listens, serves, and delivers.
As we go through this month, I urge you to keep faith alive. Let your hearts be filled with optimism, your hands with purpose, and your spirits with courage. May June bring you peace, progress, and beautiful memories with your loved ones.
Happy New Month Friend!
Olugbenga Peter Obafemi
Dear Holy Father, Pope Francis.

Goodnight Papa!

I congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his 73rd birthday. I have immense respect for President Tinubu's long history of benevolence and service to our dear Nigeria.
However, leadership is a sacred trust, and at this critical juncture in our national journey, the responsibilities weighing on your shoulders are immense. As you mark this birthday, my earnest prayer is that the Almighty grants you exceptional wisdom, strength, and a profound clarity of purpose.
Our collective aspiration for a better Nigeria transcends political divides as we yearn for a nation where potential is not just recognised, but actively cultivated. Your current position offers an unprecedented opportunity to transform our shared national narrative from potential to tangible progress.
May this birthday inspire a renewed commitment to unpretentious, genuine governance. May you be empowered to implement bold, transformative and humane policies that address the fundamental challenges facing our people in the form of youth unemployment, infrastructure deficit, economic instability, and the urgent need for national unity.
Happy birthday, Mr. President.
Yours sincerely,
Otunba Peter Obafemi

Congratulations, Tems! 🎉
As a "young man in an upper-class body," it feels truly refreshing to see how a modern remake of Seyi Sodimu and Shaffy Bello’s "Love Me Jeje" played a role in securing this well-deserved Grammy win.

Today, we honour the immeasurable sacrifices made by the brave men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces who have dedicated their lives to protecting our nation.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all serving officers who continue to defend our sovereignty, often in the most challenging circumstances. Your dedication ensures our safety and preserves the peace we hold dear.
To the families of our fallen heroes, we solemnly remember and honour the memory of your loved ones who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Your strength and resilience remind us of the profound cost of the peace we enjoy today.
On this day, I urge us all to renew our commitment to supporting our armed forces and upholding the values of unity, sacrifice, and patriotism that they exemplify.
Let peace reign!

WHY IS EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT PLANNING TO SPEND A WHOPPING ₦150M ON REFRIGERATORS, DISHWASHERS, AND AIR CONDITIONERS IN THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE?
I have spent time reviewing sections of the Ekiti State Government's proposed 2025 budget drafts, and what I found is deeply troubling.
The budget, passed by the State House of Assembly without a single amendment, contains several glaring jumps in allocations that demand urgent answers.
For instance;
Why is the Ekiti State Government planning to spend ₦150 million on the purchase of household equipment such as refrigerators, dishwashers, blenders, and air conditioners?
This represents a staggering 1,400% increase from the 2024 allocation of ₦10 million.
What is the basis for such an enormous increase when inflation is projected to decline in 2025?
"Renovation & Furnishing of Government House Chalets" jumped from ₦100 million in 2024 to ₦400 million in 2025—a 300% increase.
"Renovation of Oke Ayoba & Other Government Chalets" is allocated ₦100 million, doubling its 2024 budget of ₦50 million.
"Construction Works within Government House" has been allocated ₦450 million, a shocking 800% increase from the 2024 allocation of ₦50 million.
These figures beg the question: Are these the same projects under different names, or are they entirely different? The lack of clarity and transparency in these duplicative line items suggests inefficiency, waste, and a potential avenue for corruption.
Even more troubling is the decision of the Ekiti State Assembly to pass this budget without serious scrutiny or amendment. This raises a fundamental question:
Are the lawmakers truly representing the interests of Ekiti citizens, or have they been blinded by the perks and privileges they enjoy from the executive they are meant to check?
*At a time when Ekiti State faces pressing challenges—underfunded schools, rising insecurity, and struggling small businesses—these extravagant allocations are not only tone-deaf but utterly irresponsible.*
Governor Biodun Oyebanji and Speaker Adeoye Aribasoye owe the people of Ekiti clear and honest answers. Leadership is about prioritising the needs of the people, not indulging in frivolities that benefit a select few.
We demand accountability and governance that truly serves the interests of Ekiti citizens. Unfortunately, no faux humility can disguise the insensitivity and recklessness of this budget.

Ekiti Kete,
May I, on behalf of my family, humbly express profound gratitude to God Almighty for the grace and favour bestowed on the good people of Ekiti State and Nigerians as a whole to witness yet another brand new year, 2025.
The year 2025 is a year we are going to commence the process of liberating and rebuilding our beloved state, Ekiti.
I am a firm believer in Ekiti State. I am confident that with focused planning and judicious deployment of the financial, human and material resources of our state, Ekiti will rise again.
I am totally committed to serving the people and making life more meaningful for the down-trodden and neglected segments, I am assuring you my continued support and selfless services to the state.
I wish to congratulate the entire people of Ekiti State for this brand New Year that God has made possible for us to see.
I also wish to urge our people, most importantly leaders, members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to remain calm, focused and keep hope alive in the New Year, because I am confident that the will of God will prevail on our dear state.
I dare say with assurance that God is interested in our state and I have faith that He will not let our people down. When by His grace our efforts are crowned, we shall together, rebuild our state and restore our value.

Ekiti PDP Governorship Aspirant
This must be truly a devastating time for Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State and his family. While still grappling with the recent loss of his beloved mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, he must now face the unimaginable grief of losing his dear son, Abdulwahab Namadi.
At this difficult time, my family and I extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Namadi family and the people of Jigawa state.
No words can comfort them at this time, but I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) heals their hearts and grants Hajiya Maryam Namadi and Abdulwahab a place amongst the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus.
Ameen.
