@HiroCodeagonist Creative anecdote: Imagine a cook who tried every recipe book but never cooked a meal. They learned the theory but not the practice.
you need to practice. you need to do the work.
Agreed- no more courses.
@HiroCodeagonist 24. Empathy is the most important quality we can have. It's the source from which all other good traits come. If we don't have empathy, then everything else we do that seems good is just for show.
The creator economy, money, and guru niches are trouble for 2 reasons:
★1- The audience is smaller than it seems.
• For example, Jay Clause, a big name in the creator economy, has only 45,000 followers.
• For someone at the top of their niche, it's not as big as you'd expect.
★2- These niches are like pyramid schemes
• Everyone wants a high follower-to-following ratio, like the guru Naval who has 1 million followers but follows no one.
• In these niches, where people are reluctant to follow others, building an audience becomes challenging.
Solution
Consider diversifying beyond these niches while still discussing them, to attract a wider audience.
Starting out, I followed the usual advice to focus on a niche. However, seeing its limitations, I'm now shifting to broader topics: money, wealth, and relationships. I have a lot of knowledge in those domains and Im happy to share.
What do you think? Should people stick to a niche or broaden their focus?
@HiroCodeagonist Demonstrating is more powerful than social proof, that's an awesome mental model.
This also is directly against all the poster who claim success "just reached 5k in monthly recurring revenue" and they have nothing to prove it.
