We have now tracked children and young people’s mental health for over a year of #COVID19
No surprises that's its been a challenging year (particularly for some). Critical that we keep paying close attention to those for whom recovery will be difficult

🧵 Today we publish the concluding issue (Issue 8) in our Emerging Evidence series with @CORCcentral. In this series, we searched for research from around the world to help us understand the impact of the pandemic on children & young peoples #mentalhealth👉https://t.co/i2bwxAtiSU
From the team that brought you gnomes and "growing up and getting by" (@DrHPW@John_Horton_)... here's another giveaway! It took Max a lot persuading but he's willing to give up 3 copies of Austerity Across Europe to PGRs/public/voluntary/charity/activist folk. More info below 🧵

A great piece from @lfoulkesy on the resilience our young people have shown in the face of the pandemic - including a link to the TELL Study and our findings in this area!
Our findings highlighted young people’s feelings that they have made important and deeply personal sacrifices for others in the pandemic - they certainly do need to be celebrated for all they have done!
If COVID had been fatal to under 30s and older people isolated themselves for a year to save them we would (rightly) hear endless praise for that sacrifice yet there is no recognition of the huge sacrifice made by the young to stop a disease that was minimally theatening to them
Our preprint exploring teenagers’ experiences of life in lockdown is now available online! Learn more about #TELLStudy findings and implications for support during and beyond the pandemic: https://t.co/6Gz99LzF5h
**We are recruiting secondary school teachers for online interviews about their experiences of teaching during COVID-19** - please drop me a message if you would like to be involved! And please RT!

Imagine being a school pupil during the pandemic required to use tech to access learning & keep in contact with your mates. Then some psychologist comes along & gives you a test about your increased use of tech & uses it to show your risk of addiction. How much would that suck?!
