Whenever China is ready to penetrate a particular market, they do so holistically.

This was exactly how they penetrated the Nigerian phone market by providing affordable options that the average Nigerian could easily buy.

Chinese phones was the reason a lot of people ever had any hope of owning phones in the first place at all.

And they've always known what they're doing.

They made phones that specifically solved problems that are unique to Nigerians.

- Because of the unstable electricity in the country, they brought us phones with flashlight and high battery capacity. Today, you'll find phones with 7,000 mAh.

- On top of that, they started bringing in power banks, especially through Oraimo, and now Itel.

- They were also the first to introduce dual-SIM phones when Nokia failed to listen to Nnamdi Ezeigbo, the owner of Slot. China brought in Tecno phones that helped a lot of people to solve the problem of buying multiple phones just because of network issues.

Initially, people pushed back on Chinese phones, simply because of the wrong notion that their products are only "fake" or "substandard".

But today, people use Tecno, Infinix, Xiaomi, Vivo, and the like. And they've dominated a very large part of the phone market.

So, I undoubtedly agree that Chinese cars will soon dominate the Nigerian automobile space.

And in fact they'll do it not only by offering cheaper prices, but also by making cars that specifically solve some problems that are peculiar to Nigeria.
