Bloody well said!
As a race organiser, we’re trying to do our small part - we’re running 2 women’s races each month (E/1/2 & 3/4). And we’ll be running them, with equal prize money, no matter what. We won’t cancel them if only a few riders turns up, but we’d love to have more 🤗
The ONLY tick list you need when coaching this weekend:
1.Make it fun✅
2.Say less✅
3.Empower THEM✅
4.Enthuse✅
5.Include✅
6. Be a role model✅
7. Smile✅
8. Build community✅
9.Let them play✅
10.Engage✅
11.Reflect✅
12.Enjoy✅
13.Remember it’s NEVER about you✅
14.Go to 1
Another one ticked off the bucket list, finally made it to @YouthTourScot with @BCSouthEast. Amazing venue @StrathallanSch and stage 1 course is a gem. Great to see so many friendly faces after an 8 hour drive. #YTOS2019

In an age of immediate access, engagement & gratification we have given young people & society the belief that achievement & success can be instant.
We need to consider how best to educate some kids/parents that sport is about long term development NOT short term attainment.....
