Far above the ground, the voiles crossed space. A gentle nudge would take them on a journey of no return. Earth was both desire and death, the ultimate downfall of the Selenites. Some had been tempted by the great leap into the blue unknown, caught up in the cerulean fever of discovering this world of water and air and unknown things. It was easy to plunge into the Earth, to get caught up in it. But there was no coming back. The Earth gave nothing back.
