@illativefaith I believe the book "On the Beach" is credited as well. JFK was reading it just before the Cuban Missile Crisis. I think this is mentioned in Oliver Stones documentary on Netflix.
@sunnkssdseraph Yeah he had posted it on Reddit as well and it popped on the front page or for you page, whatever reddit called it. I remember naively thinking it was a hoax. That one definitely gave me pause and I deleted my Reddit account and ended up steering clear of the Chans after that.
@LBJ1776@Osint613 Appreciate the context. World's apart in terms of skillset, complexity, etc. Tactical doesn't always make the transition to strategic. If that's true I totally get it. Doesn't diminish him in my eyes and experience, but I get how a decision like that could be. Thanks for sharing.
@rArmyReddit Yes, Iraq 08-09 he was the SCO for 3-4 CAV. Thought he had a tour in Somalia in 93 as well but might be confusing that with our CSM at the time, Mike Stout.
