In Imo State (Ikeduru/Mbaitoli Federal Constituency), we found 24 polling-unit result sheets photographed between 5:04 and 5:34 a.m. on election day, according to the camera data embedded in the images INEC published on IReV.
Voting was scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m.
Before a single vote was cast, the result sheets had been written and photographed.
The published sheets show no presiding officer's name, signature, stamp, or agent names or signatures.
Every photo carries the same profile: iPhone 13, iOS 16.4.1, with the same-looking wooden floor across six wards.
These 24 sheets hold 8,081 valid votes. The final margin between the winner and the runner-up was 3,076.
Full analysis and all 24 sheets are on our website.
I bought fuel yesterday in Toronto, Canada, at $1.7999 CAD per litre, and it cost about $98.95 CAD to fill up my tank. This should ideally last me about a week or more.
Now, the minimum wage in Canada is $17.95 CAD per hour, which means someone who works an average of 8 hours a day will earn $143.60 CAD before tax. A day's salary is enough to fuel his or her car for 2–3 weeks. This means that even one of the lowest earners in Canada can afford to own and drive a car daily without the cost of fuel becoming an overwhelming burden. Public education for children is also free and of high quality.
In Nigeria, fuel is about ₦1,300 per litre. It would cost about ₦88,000 to fill up a similar tank. The minimum wage in Nigeria is ₦70,000 per month. This means that an entire month's minimum wage cannot even fill the tank once.
A minimum-wage earner in Nigeria cannot realistically afford to own, fuel, and maintain a car. The same person still has to afford food, rent, children's education, healthcare, electricity, transportation, and other basic necessities. The list goes on.
In fact, even a bank manager in Nigeria earning ₦1 million monthly could still struggle to maintain a decent standard of living after covering these basic expenses.
This is one reason poverty is so widespread in Nigeria. The cost of basic living is simply too high relative to what the average person earns.
You don't just have an income problem in Nigeria. You have an affordability problem.
For millions of Nigerians, simply living a decent life has become too expensive and increasingly impossible.
@Dontee___ The funniest part is you can’t say he doesn’t practice what he preaches cos proofs too choke across different areas of human endeavour. Secondly, the kind of generational impact he has made after this video is way more than what he had done up till that moment. LEGEND!!! 🙌✨
I am the girl!!!!!!! The girl who went through a lot and the first year I saw a relieve and I felt it’s time to rest….BOOM!!!!! I entered an abusive marriage 😂😂😂😂.
2016: travelled abroad and started to see money to eat like a normal person
2017: married a gambling addict.
Thank God for God 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. I asked God many questions even though that decision was solely mine and as someone who is naturally scared of failure, I felt that’s the end.
Guess what! I took over my own story and turn a new page and I started to write again
Life is a journey, not a destination
I know many here are young, so I excuse their abuse online, but one lesson I will teach you, just as someone taught me, is this
"You don't have to be friends with everyone, but don't make enemies with anyone"
