two years ago on April 17 2019, the mayor of Beirut @jamalitani06 @CityOfBeirut announced the development of 16km of bike lanes to be completed by end of the year, along with 14 bike share stations. The project was part of a wider plan to address traffic congestion in Beirut.

Amazing to see the complete transformation of this school street in Paris from a narrow road clogged with car parking in 2020 to a beautiful, green public space in 2022. A few nice examples of this in London, but we definitely need more permanent school street transformations!!

This morning, I participated in a bicycle group ride organised by @Wavebike_Lb. The group rides help cyclists getting accustomed to cycling in Beiruti traffic. Cycling is a state if mind. I feel safe and comfortable on my bike in Beirut. And had a fun morning.
