Is Integrated Information Theory of Consciousness pseudoscience?
A new paper signed by a significant number of scientists once again challenged IIT, which has been a hot topic within the cognitive science community and is mentioned as one of the leading theories of consciousness.
As it can have such high impacts, the authors highlight the importance of not leading the general public into believing IIT to be a well-established and leading theory of consciousness, way before it really is. Until then, they suggest, we should call IIT pseudoscience.

What does the future hold for cognitive science?
In their 2019 article “What happened to cognitive science?” ( https://t.co/W4bBK8h5d8 ) Núñez et al. investigated whether cognitive science’s early aim of being an interdisciplinary field has been successful or not.
Is there a single interdisciplinary cognitive science or are there only cognitive sciences in which researchers stay mainly in their respective fields but refer to others only when it is necessary? What are your thoughts and why? Feel free to mention them!
