🚨🔵 Chelsea winger and Ukraine international Mykhailo Mudryk has found himself at the center of a high-profile legal battle, facing a $6 million lawsuit.
The player's former commercial representatives, JJDS Management Limited, claim that Mudryk - allegedly under the influence of his current agent, Vadym Shabliy (ProStar) - owes them millions of dollars related to sponsorship agreements. The case is now being heard in the High Court of London, with Chelsea also involved in the proceedings alongside the player and his representatives.
“We signed a four-year agreement with Mykhailo, including an automatic extension clause, covering the representation of his image rights, sponsorship deals, and commercial promotions. The contract was signed on January 26, 2023, shortly after his transfer to Chelsea.
My representatives traveled to England, met with him in person, and he personally signed the agreement, which is an indisputable fact. However, since signing the contract, he has not made a single payment to us.
Our total claims amount to approximately $6 million. This consists of two separate legal proceedings: in Cyprus, there is an ongoing lawsuit seeking €2.4 million for lost profits (resulting from companies with which Mudryk allegedly avoided signing contracts, forcing us to pay contractual penalties), while in England our claim amounts to $2.8 million (approximately £2.1 million).”
The High Court of London has already ordered the freezing of Mudryk's assets worth £2.5 million. This includes his real estate, vehicles, and bank accounts. In addition, the court has imposed spending restrictions, allowing him to spend no more than £5,000 per week, and requiring him to provide documentary evidence of the sources of his income.
