The Imam of Race Course Mosque said that the mosque is over 150 years old and they have all the necessary documents related to it. He questioned why the mosque is being targeted despite having valid documents. The authorities must look into the matter and ensure that the mosque is protected.

The historic Race Course Mosque at Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, is facing the threat of demolition, according to its imam, Mohammad Harun. Speaking to FOEJ Media, former journalist Huda Zariwala alleged that the mosque’s electricity supply had been disconnected, water supply disrupted, and worshippers are being stopped from offering namaz. When FOEJ Media tried to reach the mosque to report on the matter, security guards stopped the team, saying that media personnel are not allowed inside. The team also approached Imam Mohammad Harun to talk to him about the issue, but he declined to speak.

🕌 दिल्ली की रेस कोर्स मस्जिद का इतिहास जानिए!

🔹 1934 के ब्रिटिशकालीन रिकॉर्ड में इस मस्जिद का ज़िक्र मिलता है। 🔹 1977 के दिल्ली गजट में मस्जिद का नाम दर्ज होने का दावा जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद ने किया है। 🔹 NDMC की हेरिटेज सूची में भी मस्जिद दर्ज होने की बात कही गई है। 🔹 2001 के संसदीय रिकॉर्ड में भी रेस कोर्स मस्जिद का उल्लेख मिलता है। 🔹 अब मस्जिद को खाली करने का नोटिस दिए जाने और बिजली-पानी काटे जाने की खबर सामने आई है।

मस्जिद के निर्माण का सही साल जानने के लिए अभी और ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेज़ों की ज़रूरत है।

इतिहास और दस्तावेज़ों की निष्पक्ष जाँच होनी चाहिए।

Race Course Masjid: A Question of Heritage, Justice and Constitutional Accountability The concerns surrounding Race Course Masjid, located near the Prime Minister’s residence on what is now Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi, deserve serious attention, transparency and a fair hearing.

Reports referring to historical government records dating back to 1934 raise important questions about the mosque’s history and status.

These claims must be examined through verified documents, due process and the principles of natural justice. Our constitutional democracy must protect the rule of law, respect religious freedom and ensure that every community receives equal treatment.

No place of worship or community’s legitimate concerns should be dealt with arbitrarily. The way forward must be guided by facts, constitutional values, dialogue and justice. India belongs to all its citizens. Our strength lies in the equal dignity, rights and freedoms guaranteed to every Indian.

Justice must be transparent. The Constitution must remain supreme.

शालीमार बाग़ की मदीना मस्जिद को लेकर चिंताजनक खबर सामने आ रही है। स्थानीय लोगों के मुताबिक, पहले मस्जिद की दो मंज़िलों को तोड़ा गया और अब पूरी मस्जिद को ध्वस्त किए जाने का दावा किया जा रहा है।
सवाल यह है कि अगर कार्रवाई सड़क चौड़ीकरण के लिए की गई, तो इसे रात के अंधेरे में अंजाम देने की क्या ज़रूरत थी? क्या ऐसे संवेदनशील मामलों में स्थानीय लोगों को भरोसे में लेकर कोई दूसरा रास्ता नहीं निकाला जा सकता था?
विकास के नाम पर किसी भी धार्मिक स्थल से जुड़े मामले में पारदर्शिता, संवेदनशीलता और न्याय सुनिश्चित करना प्रशासन की ज़िम्मेदारी है।
