This scene is also just cut so fucking weirdly. All Hal did was suggest he keep Kerry & Noah safe until he could figure things out, and it was enough for her to freak out and shoot him in the fucking head?? I’d understand if Hal threatened to take him in, or if the scene was a bit longer so we had more time/dialogue to process why she made this decision.

But instead, we wait 8 hours to find out Kerry shot Hal for NO REASON other than impulse. THAT’S the big full circle plot twist of the show. And then we’re supposed to feel satisfied that she walks away without any consequences? There’s so many things wrong with this, but for me, the fact that it was such a weirdly rushed scene within an episode where we spent 90% of the runtime with Noah & Kerry bothers me the most.

We spent more time watching Football highlights on a Football field than we spent showing the MURDER OF HAL JORDAN, which the entire season was built on. So many of these ideas sound amazing as concepts, but within the *actual* content of the show they’re so poorly executed. I loved Kerry’s writing throughout the season, I thought it was really strong and a majority of the depth worked for me. I do not think her writing was strong enough for it to justify her being the person to end Hal’s story without any repercussions
