Here in Ibadan,I've encountered prejudice for not being Yoruba, but I refuse to let that dim my pride in my heritage.
I’m committed to embracing & celebrating ALL cultures, cause that's what truly reflects the diversity of our nation. That’s what is expected of a SECURE Nigerian.
Co-hosting the red carpet at this event with @thegracefrancis was an incredible experience !
It's disheartening to witness the narrow perspectives some hold regarding culture, tourism, and inclusion.
Watch interviews on the Red Carpet at the Governor’s Dinner and Awards Night of #ITSOyoState2024 hosted by Grace Akan-Francis and Osarenoma Saba on 17 April 2024.
Help comes in many forms; we can all play a role in preventing violence against women and girls.
If you are experiencing violence, remember that you are not alone, and it’s not your fault. It may be helpful, if safe to do so, to reach out to family, friends and neighbours
The health impacts of violence can last a lifetime, affecting physical, mental, sexual, and reproductive health. We, as individuals, play a key role in bringing attention to and responding to violence against women as a public health, gender equality and human rights issue.
The global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a key moment to call for an end to violence against women and girls. As it comes to an end, in every country & culture, more action is needed to ensure women in all their diversity live free of violence and coercion.
