@CCirolia@BennyGrin @bessvers @JackWinger@Steved24661@katharina_knuth@JillFilipovic Claire, I just reviewed the website for Lufthansa. They said you need to abide by the requirements of the final destination country, which in this case, would be Italy. It seems the general consensus here is the negative test plus vaccine certificate plus location form.
@Steved24661 @bessvers @CCirolia@JackWinger@katharina_knuth@JillFilipovic Yeah Steve, I’m in the same exact boat. Assuming we don’t get any further clarification I think the test plus a vaccine certificate is the safest option and frankly, the most we can probably do anyway, short of a quarantine
@CCirolia@JackWinger @bessvers @Steved24661@katharina_knuth@JillFilipovic How do we know these are not the new requirements? The page from the Ministry of Health has a timestamp of August 30 and it’s providing instructions for a time period subsequent to September 1. What am I missing?
@katharina_knuth @bessvers @Steved24661@CCirolia@JillFilipovic Thank you Katharina. I was able to find this information earlier. I suppose I’m just a bit concerned because they have not updated it since earlier this month.
@CCirolia@katharina_knuth @bessvers @Steved24661@JillFilipovic OK, thanks everyone. That makes sense. To complicate matters further however, if Italy allows vaccinated Americans to enter, is there a protocol for entering Italy by way of changing planes in another country such as Germany or Austria? Would it depend on those countries’ rules?
@ClareinItaly@MichaelCheese2@TheLocalItaly Thanks for this information and for keeping on top of this. Is there a timetable for when we can expect to hear about whether any such changes will, or will not, be made?
