Seems discretionary to me. No starting lineup should be set in stone when a coach rotates players when mistakes are made. Reoccurring trend yearly, reward those who make a difference.

@JimPolzinWSJ Why does Gard have trouble recognizing the better center? Two years in a row this has happened with zero change. Micah Potter is flourishing at next level, yet never got the chance to start no matter how well he played. Same with Vogt. Players should be rewarded, not overlooked.
