In 2022 Victoria and Queensland teachers locked in agreements and NSW is re-negotiating in 2023, so we take a quick look at who got what and how your state stacks up against others....might be time for a tree change!
@JasonClareMP While the Productivity Commission is supporting workload reform, it is as likely as school admin assigning you your dream timetable. What reform is in the works doesn't look like anything of consequence to really bring teachers back in the classroom.
What we are really crying out for is major reform - less administrative and supervision workload and more time for lesson planning and professional development (the good kind, not the kind your HOD designed for you so they can tick a box for themselves).
Our 55,000 state school teachers are starting the year with a pay rise.
It will be in pay packets next week - backdated to July.
I’m proud that our new enterprise bargaining agreement gives Queensland teachers some of the best pay and conditions in the country.
Victorian teachers, you're in luck! Teachers from other states - class is in session on a new time in lieu policy that will make you green with envy...or will it?
@EdWeekTeacher Great tool to increase productivity for mundane tasks! Let's hope the schools and governments allow teachers to explore and use this technology to alleviate some of the workload issues that are present.
