@kurohitsuki I was thinking of doing something with prison enchantments while draining opponents and building a token army via grim gaurdian, and leonin warcaller(?). And then using starfield of nyx, or opalescence as a finisher
@that_tcgguy Honestly, same. Bloomburrow deserved soo much and duskmourn just feels more like a battlebond set, or even aftermath (not in overall quality, just in release timing).
@UncommonCmdrMTG Bruh, you tell me when this is happening, and i will jam games with you and the empress so hard and fast your significant other will be both jealous and impressed.
Last thoughts on the commander bans:
Does it suck that a lot of customers/collectors had the proverbial rug pulled from underneath them? Yes.
Does this show that the RC is solely committed to the format health and not concerned with wotc's bottom line? Yes
I really hope today's rc announcement is a lesson to wotc not to push commander focused sets/cards outside of precons. It was known and had vocalized that jewled lotus was an issue from the moment it was spoiled.
I do support these decisions, but not without a bit of disappointment. The mana crypt ban tells me that there are more players in the community at large who prefer winning over maintaining a healthy social contract within playgroups and lgs.
UPDATE: Changes to the banned list:
Dockside Extortionist is banned
Jeweled Lotus is banned
Mana Crypt is banned
Nadu is banned.

So yeah.....maybe farewell does need to be banned in commander. I use it in a jodah superfriends deck but JEEZ does it hold everyone hostage. A game lasted a full 45 mins longer than it needed to bc a player cast it with 0 way to win, or even recover after.
uncomfortable conclusion. But grooming was not visible during the dialogue given. It sucks that two actual people are hurt by this. It sucks that a community is torn apart rather than built up. 9/9
This will be the last time i make a public statement about it. For context, the first time I heard about all of this was yesterday morning via Shae's post. After seeing Legion's post and their post with the dialogue, i still don't have context I'd like, but it's enough to see 1/9
problem with this, they can feel free to reach out privately. Until additional context and dialogue are released, all I am seeing is a minor having private conversations with a desperate person, that in itself is questionable, but continuing that conversation to a point of 8/9
