@fortayee that's why flayn's so nonchalant about byleth sleeping for 5 years in silver snow. she's like "yeah that's what happens when you get hurt, magic coma", no follow up questions
@fortayee she spent most of the last thousand years in a magic healing coma after sustaining injuries in the war (and iirc draining herself magically from healing people too much, so recovery took a really long time), so she's actually closer to the age bc she was asleep most of her life

Sixteen possible party members. Absolute power is ours. Surely this is the most party customization we'll ever get in this series, right? Right?

Holy Stregas! It’s been an amazing first year for us at Trails through Trails, and it’s all thanks to you.
We’ve just hit 10k downloads for the show which is a WILD number.
Thanks so much for walking the Trails with us, and here’s to many more hours of RPG sicko nonsense!

Two roads diverged in a trippy dungeon, and I could definitely travel both because I had enough characters for two parties. Skill issue.
That's right, it's chapter 3 of Trails in the Sky the 3rd!

@fortayee honestly I think people should do this kind of thing more. explain what you mean obviously for people who aren't familiar but like, we need to stop de-intellectualizing our critical discussions
@seventhform_ and I think the fact that you have to wait so long to check in with Rean and Kevin again can make Act 1 feel longer than it is. I imagine for a lot of people Act 1 would be more enjoyable on a replay, when the anticipation of seeing the other groups again isn't as pressing
@seventhform_ And it stands out because the Rean and Kevin chapters are so much snappier in that regards, so I think Van's chapters end up feeling longer than they actually are. My podcast cohost called it "eating my Vangetables". There's great stuff in there, but the pacing feels uneven imo
@seventhform_ I think the friction a lot of people have in Act I is that you have access to so many districts in Edith right from the start, which mean it takes a really long time to do your rounds in Van's chapters if you're checking in with every NPC. It can make the pacing feel longer.
