Someone doing that to your 2 year old is insane and NOT the same thing at all. This is a technique taught by specialized instructors. It's a measured introduction that is taught daily for only a few minutes a day. It's not "toss them in." The video in this is "graduation" after weeks of daily lessons and the kids know what's happening. That's why they don't cry. By graduation, they're having fun.
