Day god-knows-when (20, I think) without broadband.
I've watched the outage counter for my postcode go down from 88 to 56 and now 26 but have still not seen any engineers. The Fibrus CEO made a video yesterday saying how sorry he was, but why didn't he do that 2 weeks ago?
I suppose it can’t be long until Trump decides he’ll solve the Northern Ireland ‘problem’ by sending all the Catholics south of the border, all the Protestants to Scotland and all the atheists/agnostics to Isle of Man; and then turns the place into a giant golf course.
@hilarybennmp OK but as Secretary of State, can you do something to help the tens of thousands of @fibrusbroadband customers who are now on Day 12 of a #StormÉowyn internet outage?
I got this text from Fibrus yesterday.
17th Feb is 2 weeks, 3 weeks from when my power came back on and nearly 4 since the storm itself.
BT fixed their broken cable on Saturday, by the way, but the engineer could do nothing about the Fibrus cable.
I'm lost for words.
Electricity has been back on for a week after the storm but still no Fibrus broadband connection.
BT have repaired their damage on the pole in question days ago and no one can get any response from Fibrus.
It's a lifeline for so many rural people and we've been treated awfully
Hi @patcullen9 I was wondering if you could get the @fibrusbroadband customers in FST who are still without internet after the storm some updates?
Trying to contact them is fruitless. It's appalling service from a company set up for rural communities.
Thanks 🙏
Has anyone here had any updates from @fibrusbroadband about their connections being fixed?
It's been a week now and nothing. Nothing.
For a company set up to originally cater to isolated rural communities who have internet as a lifeline this is really poor.
@BBCNewsNI need to highlight that a lot of areas still have no telephone or broadband services. No feedback from @fibrusbroadband to indicate when this service will be restored. Lots about NIE restoring power which they have done in the circumstances, but nothing from fibrus
@senorastacy@NIElectricity Was having a look at the outage checker on https://t.co/wBrIwYqbXB and there are still loads of people out, some not being given a fix date until tomorrow. Hard frost last night too, with more to come this week.
@senorastacy A big shout out to Leanne on the @NIElectricity customer service desk who really seemed to care and chase things up, giving me concrete information. ✊
@senorastacy I can understand it, I suppose. Saw a rep interviewed and they said priority was to get the high voltage network (with many connections) up and running before starting with the low voltage network in more rural areas.
@mgtruth Now the guilt has kicked in. There's an elderly couple up the road still off who aren't in the best of health and are the parents of one of my school friends. Hopefully the engineers are on their way there now.
