His earlier work The Holy Mountain (1973) might give some clues about Jodorowsky's direction for the Dune project. Visually it's pretty amazing. There's a lot of symbolism. It's quite intense. And you would only see it in an art house cinema after midnight.

Would he have held back to make Dune more commercial? I think it's unlikely.

🇯🇵 Many people on here recommended that I watch Macross Plus (1994). The animation and story here were very impressive!

When I was in school, Macross Frontier was very popular but I'd never seen Plus. But I'm glad I did.
