Bridging The Knowledge Gap In Christ II

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).

As a new creation in Christ Jesus, you’re peculiar. There are so many good things inside you, and there’s so much that the Lord has ordained your life for. He didn’t create you for nothing; you’re valuable to Him. Therefore, you must love and value yourself, because you exude the glory of God.

God reigns, establishes, and spreads His righteousness on earth today through you. Revelation 5:10 says Christ has made us“…kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” In 1 Corinthians 15:25, we read that “…he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” Jesus isn’t physically present on earth today, yet He’s reigning through you. In Christ, you’ve been made a king-priest unto God (Revelation 1:6). The glorious Gospel of the blessed God has been committed to your trust.
Now, if the Lord would rely on you this much, reigning through you, and committing such glorious Gospel to your trust, then you’re truly valuable to Him. Therefore, accord yourself the same value. Think, talk, walk, and live as someone special, for indeed you are. You’re a custodian of divine knowledge and of Kingdom realities; how big that is!

The Bible says God spreads the beautiful and pleasant fragrance of His knowledge through you in every place: “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14). It’s your ministry, calling, and responsibility to make the Word known to the world. Therefore, love Him, and love what He made—YOU!
Enjoy every moment of your life. Appreciate you and appreciate others around you. Challenge your mind in the positive direction of life and you’ll be amazed at the results. You’re God’s best.
Never judge yourself by what people say about you; what matters is what God thinks of you. And you know what? He thinks highly of you, which is why He invested so much in you. Hallelujah!

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not (1 John 3:1).
If you were the only one on the face of the earth, Jesus would still have come to die for you. He died for you personally. Not many have thought about it. They think Jesus died for the world; and to them, the world means nature and the things in it. He died for you! Appropriate and meditate on this deeply. It happened over two thousand years ago; but let it be refreshed in your consciousness today; and it'll produce results in you.
You were bought with a price. You're valuable to God. You're not a nobody! It doesn't matter that you seem to be "down" in life right now; it doesn't matter what the society has made you! It just doesn't matter that you seem to have been relegated to the background. The best description of you isn't what people call you or describe you to be; heaven's description of you is what counts.
You're the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). You've been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 6:11). You're heaven's best: "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures" (James 1:18). You're peculiar, royal, excellent and full of glory; you're SOMEBODY SPECIAL! That's why Jesus died for you. He loves you.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3).

What we just read reveals your limitless power and glory in Christ Jesus: what you can do with the Word (rhema) of God in your mouth. Recall that in the Book of Genesis, the Bible says the earth was a chaotic mass. But after the Holy Spirit incubated upon it, God gave the Word, and everything He spoke leapt into being. This is the same ability He’s given us; the ability to speak whatever we want into existence.

An important key to this is meditation. Just as the Holy Spirit brooded (hovered, fluttered) upon the earth’s chaotic mass, when there’s a situation you want to change, take out time to meditate on God’s Word. During that meditation, there’ll arise within you inspired words that’ll cause the change(s) that you desire.

Hosea 14:2 says, “Take with you words….”; what do you want in your life? The Bible says without the Word was not anything made that was made! So, what do you want to “make”? Don’t cry about the situation; don’t gripe over the pain! The question is, what do you want to see? What do you want to create out of that precarious situation? The Bible says God commanded light to shine out of darkness. Don’t focus on the problem; focus on what you want and speak it forth.
Don’t say, “I have cancer” or “I have diabetes”; it’s not about what “you have”; it’s what you want in place of that cancer or diabetes. God had darkness at the beginning, but He spoke light into being. You’re created in His image and in His likeness, with His ability in your spirit, and His Word in your mouth. Speak and create what you want. Hallelujah!

Bridging The Knowledge Gap In Christ

Many times, you meet believers who have become slaves to fear, religion, false prophets, evil prophets, wicked pastors, deliverance ministers, and ignorant preachers who do not know any better but practice what they think is right in the name of Jesus with zero understanding of the gospel.

A believer bought two plots of land in a good area in Lagos, he went to meet his prophet to share the good news that he was about to commence the building project, the prophet told him he would laid the foundation with the death of his first child and complete the building with the death of his last child unless he gives the land to God and build a church with it for his ministry.

Another Christian was told that his land in Delta State had been taken over by demonic powers, and if he stepped on it, he would die immediately. When the Christian asked what he should do to redeem the land, the prophet asked him to deposit 5 million Naira into the ministry’s account for spiritual work.

There are several spiritual leaders (male and female) who slept with (raped) Christians who came to them seeking deliverance from being single or in the course of trying desperately to become a mother

A Christian was told by his prophet that he had only a few days more to live because witches had concluded the work of sharing his meat in their meeting. He asked the prophet what he needed to do, and the prophet told him God said he had to sponsor his (the prophet’s) first child’s education, starting with paying the prophet the arrears that had already been spent on the child’s school fees, back to the prophet as a form of redemption for his life. The day he stops paying the fees will be the day he dies.

Sermons preached by many well-known leaders of the faith who claimed to be anointed with proof of the anointing working in their lives reinforce the belief system that you must give something to get something in Christianity. I heard a minister cite an example of giving one million dollars to God (His ministry or another ministry) and getting the answer to one of his prayers as a result. His members respond by trying to emulate him in engaging in this trade by a barter system with God, believing this is what it means to have faith and to give the seed of faith, or put their faith to work.

Deliverance ministers and ministers from all over the world are all deceivers. They do not have an office in the fivefold ministry, nor were they mentioned in the scriptures as being of any value in the church. Every Believer has the power to cast out demons according to Jesus himself, but these liars have somehow convinced believers that they have demons that need to be cast out every three months, and they also offer family deliverance, career deliverance, academic deliverance, and so on

Why are believers so easy to deceive by these charlatans?

Many believers lack knowledge. They would rather follow someone they feel knows the way than study the Bible and come into the fullness of the knowledge of the power of God over their lives and destiny.

Many believers don’t know what it means to be a Christian and what premium value God has placed on them and their destinies in Christ.

A sister who was on the plus side met a young man who wanted to marry her. She took the good news to her mother. Her mother told her that she must get approval from her Apostle. She went to see the apostle, and the apostle told her she would have to share his bed for the cleansing ritual if she ever hoped to have a child in the course of her marriage. He called it a personal deliverance session. The lady agreed, and the apostle then said she must pay him for it. She asked him what he wanted, and he said a big cow for the annual convention of the church.

The lady didn’t have enough money to buy a cow, and she couldn’t share what the Apostle said with the man who wanted to marry her for obvious reasons. She reached out to me on X and told me her situation.

I asked for the phone number of the Apostle and gave him a call. I told him I have the recording of his conversation with the woman as an investigative journalist and that I would publish it online for everybody to see and hear

He said I would die if I tried it.

I said okay and rang off.

My phone rang a few minutes later, and it was the lady’s mother. The Apostle had called her and told her about my call. She said a lot of things about the curse that comes on those who meddle in spiritual things and “touch the anointed.”

I told her the Apostle has said I would die, and the Bible said he who blesses shall be blessed and he who curses me shall be cursed. I didn’t have to say a word. He has judged himself.

The mother started cursing, and i rang off.

The Apostle died on the morning of the next Sunday.

The mother and her two daughters left Benin that Sunday and showed up at my office the next morning.

The mother and her daughters fell on their knees, asking me for forgiveness of sins and begging me to bless them so that they would not die too

I did what they asked so that they could pay attention to my words

When I was done, i asked them to sit down and showed them from the scriptures that I am in no way different from them or more special in any way.

They gave their lives to the same Jesus I gave my life to and received the same Holy Spirit I received. The only gap between us was knowledge. I know who I am in Christ, and they didn’t know who they are in Christ.

When you don’t know who you are, another person will define you, and he or she will define you as a lesser being than himself or herself.

When you know who you are in Christ, nobody will ever be able to take advantage of you spiritually, psychologically, mentally, emotionally, materially, or financially.

You must see the value Christ has placed in you and never allow anybody to treat you as if you are not valuable to God in your own right.

Husband was sick and on admission in the hospital throughout the month of January.
The doctors told him he had eaten poison and could have died if he had arrived at the hospital just five minutes later than when he was rushed in.
He was also told to thank his stars that the hospital had the right antidote that worked to reverse the effect of the poison.

He didn't know how he ingested the poison.
The hospital told his wife to bring the food he had eaten to them for tests.
She did so, and the food was found to be perfectly fine
The husband was told by the doctor that the poison he had eaten was not ingested by mistake
The doctor told him it was a rare poison made from a certain species of mushroom, which was cultivated locally by herb sellers

The wife said she didn't know anything about the poison
The only food he was served that day was cooked for him at home
The only thing that was different that day was the visit of his younger brother just as he began to eat.
He remembered walking to the door after hearing his younger brother's knock, opening the door, and collapsing
His brother was the one who took the initiative to rush him to the hospital immediately

How can two people eat at the same table and one of them gets poisoned while the other remains healthy?
His wife insisted that if he was poisoned, she knew nothing about it
The doctor insisted that he was deliberately poisoned.
The more he thought about it, especially through the pain as his intestines burned and felt like they were being cut by sharp razors for a week, the more convinced he was that something fishy was going on.

He reached out to the Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt on X and asked if they could have a chat.
They had a chat on whatsapp and he explained the puzzle to the brother in Jeans and a T-shirt.
He said he would like to know what was going on with the help of the Holy Spirit.

He told the story of how he met his wife and how they had both been through thick and thin for over nine years. He shared the story of their struggle to conceive, and he swore with his life that his wife loved him more than life itself.

He shared the story of his family. The usual struggles and the battle to become somebody of worth in life.
He said he was afraid to leave the hospital without knowing the source of the poison.
He was very scared for his life.

The brother in Jeans and a T-shirt told him that the secret of the Lord is with those who fear him.
He asked him to read some chapters of the Bible with emphasis on certain verses which must be read out loud over and over again in the place of prayer (Daniel 2, Jeremiah 33:3, Ephesians 1:18, and Psalm 36:9)

He asked the brother in Jeans and a T-shirt to join him on a call on the first night while he read the scriptures so that he would be sure he did it right. The Brother in Jeans and a T-shirt obliged him.

They read several other chapters of the scriptures together as they fellowshipped with the Holy Spirit for over one hour on whatsapp call.
He calmed down a lot after the prayer and fell asleep.
He did not see any revelation or hear anything.
He read the same scriptures again the next day, in the morning and at night, yet he saw nothing.

By the third day, he was perfectly healthy (he had spent almost a month in the hospital by this time), and the doctor discharged him.
His wife arrived with his driver to take him home
Both of them walked into the room one after the other.
He was seated on a chair close to the entrance of his room instead of the bed, as he was eager to go home.

Just as they walked in, he caught his driver's eyes fastened upon his wife's waist as she walked majestically into the room.
If he had not been seated at that particular place, he wouldn't have seen it
It also felt to him as if time froze and his eyes saw the sight in slow motion.

The door opened inwards, and his wife walked in wearing a
short gown with a big belt on her waist.
She looked to the right, saw him on the single chair right behind the door, and greeted him with a smile.
The driver came in holding a set of keys in one hand while his eyes were glued to the rhythmic movement of his wife's bum.

He said it was the greatest moment of clarity he had ever had in his life.
He just knew that his driver was sleeping with his wife.
He said he just knew without a doubt.
He said he also knew that his wife had dressed up that day for the driver.
It was because of his driver that she wore what she wore that day, and they were both coming from somewhere where they had just had sex.

He said he just knew.
He couldn't explain how, and he had no evidence whatsoever.
He said he also knew it was tied to how he got poisoned, but he couldn't really explain the details.

He said, "All this came to me at an instant. not gradually, not increasingly. I just knew everything at once as if a light came on in my brain and I had illumination."

He said he watched as his wife and driver packed all his things into the car.
He just sat there, transfixed.
He said he even had a smile on his face.
He knew everything that was going on and instances of the interactions between his wife and his driver, which he had witnessed but had ignored in the past, also flashed through his mind.

When they were done packing, they came into the room to get him
He said by then the doctor had come around to see him, and with him were two nurses.
He said as soon as his wife stepped into the room, he looked at her and said, "So you and JJ connived to kill me."
He said his wife almost fainted
Her face went ashen with guilt and shame immediately.

He said the doctor immediately stood close to the door and waved one of the security men in the corridor of the hospital to come over.
He said that at that point, his wife began to shake.
The doctor told the security man to go and get the driver, and they both returned some minutes later.

When the driver came in, he read the room and knew their secret was in the open.
The driver, without being asked a word, said, "Sir, madam was the one who told me to get the poison after she discovered that she had gotten pregnant. She said she could not abort the pregnancy, and if you discover she had gotten pregnant, you will send her out of the marriage empty-handed after nine years of suffering with you."

Then the wife said, "I didn't poison him. I couldn't do it. You were the one who told me to leave the kitchen door open so that you could come in and put the poison in his food.
You cannot put that blame on me, you traitor."

It was the hospital's security team that took both the wife and the driver to the police station. The driver produced the poison (he kept the rest of it), and he also led the police to the woman who sold the poison to him. She was also arrested.

It turned out that the wife was truly pregnant.
Her husband, for that reason, didn't press charges.
He said he felt there was no need to drag the issue on and on.
She never returned to their home from the police station.
Her parents and relatives bailed her out and took her away.

He said he stayed in a hotel for several weeks because she was too scared to return to his house, even while the culprits were in the police station.
He eventually decided to rent another apartment and move as far away from his former location as possible.

He was able to do this with the help of his younger brother and some church members.
He remarried a year later.
He married a youth corps member who was posted to the Investment Bank, where he was working as a portfolio manager.

A year later, the marriage produced a set of twin boys.
Three years after the twins, they had another daughter, Mabel

PS: Today, the twins clocked seven.
Their father woke me up with a message of thanksgiving and gratitude
He reminded me of where he was when we met and how the word of God came alive in his spirit on that hospital bed
He said he learnt the secret of clarity in the place of meditation, which had stayed with him even as he made business decisions and life decisions after the Lord spared him from untimely death.
I prayed for him and the twins and their sister

I also prayed for his wife, the achalugo of King Edward's Kingdom.

Sometimes when I write these testimonies, I cry for joy.

I serve a God who is powerful o, Hallelujah eh!
I serve a God who is mighty o, yo yo yo
This God is a good God o, Hallelujah eh

Soteria II: Establishing The Patterns

My second experience was surprisingly mine. I was born strong and never had any reason whatsoever to visit the hospital throughout my childhood
I never recalled having even a hospital card
One day, while I was praying in my house in 2021, I suddenly started feeling offish
Like something was seriously wrong with me
The unease was out of this world
The best way to describe how I felt was this; I took my car keys and drove to the hospital by myself to check myself in
The nurses took my vitals and the doctor asked me what was wrong with me
I told the doctor it feels as if my skin was on fire
I was burning all over but I had no temperature and I was moving about normally without expressing any sign of distress
The doctor didn't know what to do with me
All the tests were normal and yet I insisted I was ill
She asked me if I had eaten
I said I had not
She asked me if I had an appetite
I said I didnt
She said they will have to set a drip for me, so that i dont faint of hunger in the hospital
I said "fine".
Please not that I had moved from my previous job which was a PA to a pastor somewhere in Lagos to being self employed at this time and I had also changed houses.
The House in Ketu was rented
I had moved from there into my own house during Covid-19.
So I was in a totally new environment
I was at the hospital all day
The driver picked up my children from school and brought them to see me at the hospital
I assurred them I was fine and would see them later that night or the next day
We did their homeworks together and they left
The thing was I was at peace in that hospital but the moment I stepped out of the hospital, the discomfort descended on my like a fog.
I taught my online class from that hospital
(If you check my X timeline you will see this testimony live as I wrote it on the day this event took place)
After my 10pm class, I laid down to sleep
Just then, at a few minutes to midnight, they brought in a young man called Dejo
He was wheeled in on a gurney
His mother was screaming
The boy was born with a sickle cell disorder, and he had been a warrior all his life
That day, he had a crisis, and before the mother could arrange for transportation to bring him to the hospital, he gave up the ghost
I knew they were coming even before they stepped into the hospital premises
That heat or fire which I had been experiencing all day on and off returned with such an intensity that I sprang out of my bed and dragged the drip line and the metal hanger it was hanging on with me
As they were wheeling him in, I was speeding towards them
When I got beside them, I laid my two hands on him on that gurney and screamed at the top of my voice.
The next thing I remembered was everybody falling down under the anointing
The doctor, matron, nurses, Dejo's mother, and I.
And Dejo, the dead boy, screamed back to life.
The heat or fire that I had been feeling all day inside my body disappeared instantly.
I removed the drip and got up
I was discharging myself
The doctor held on to me
She said I cannot leave, I must come back to my room and sign a document for her that I was discharging myself
I went back
There was a queue
Those who saw what happened with Dejo and Dejo's mother all came to me
(That was what I was avoiding)
I started praying for the sick
They thronged in from all the wards
Even the doctors and nurses, and other staff members came so that I could lay hands on them
I could have escaped at about 1 AM
I ended up leaving the hospital by 6 AM
I was able to kiss my children goodbye as they set out to school that day.

I slept, woke up, and tried to figure out what happened
God sent me there because of Dejo
He knew Dejo was going to die that day
Dejo needed to die; his old body and system needed to shut down completely
I needed to be on the ground.
Like a defibrillator, charging up all day so that I could pass the excess current to the young man and bring him back to life
(These explanations are all mine, as I tried to make sense of the whole event)

I avoided that hospital like the plague from that day.
If I made the mistake of going there to see anyone, I would usually be kept there for hours praying for people.

I hope you get the point I was trying to make.

If you didn't I will share one more experience.

This happened in 2022.
My first son was just admitted to JSS1.
He went to school that day, and I got a call at about noon that he was ill
I drove to the sick bay in their school to pick him up
I took him home and noticed he had the symptoms of malaria
I had some anti-malaria drugs at home as a form of first aid
I gave him a pill
He used it and slept
When he woke up to use the restroom, he discovered he was urinating blood
He was just ten years old and had never liked soda drinks
Which was unusual because his younger ones liked soda drinks
I felt it was the drug I gave him
In Nigeria, there has always been a proliferation of fake drugs, and one cannot be too careful
I drove him to the hospital immediately and told them everything that happened as I remembered it
He was admitted immediately
The doctors said the drug was not fake
The doctors also said the issue was not malaria
They ended up saying it was Acute Kidney Trauma.
This diagnosis was followed by a series of unnerving questions
Did someone give him a blow in the kidney?
Did he fall down on his kidney?
Did you beat him on his kidney?
Did you use his kidney to play snooker or golf, or cricket?
The more he urinated blood, the more they persisted with these crazy questions, and the young man was ill and couldn't answer any of the questions they were asking
He was admitted on a Monday, and he didn't get better throughout the week
By Friday, they had to bring in consultants
By Sunday morning, the doctors and consultants were talking about moving him to a specialist hospital in Lagos or Abuja
The urine by this time was dark red or reddish brown.
They tried everything they knew
At a point, they stopped all forms of medication and insisted he must drink only water so that they could be sure it was not any of the chemicals being pumped into his body that was causing the problem.
I had spent a whole week in the hospital, and I hated every minute of it
That Sunday morning, I was due to minister at a church in Lagos, and I had to get someone to sit with him and care for him while I was away
Isn't it ironic how the reality always seems so skewed? I was going to minister to people in a church, and most likely I would pray with many for their healing, while my own son was lying on a hospital bed with this strange illness.
I sat with him as the doctors discussed which hospital they had reached out to and how to move him because there was no improvement.
Just then, a lady walked to the table where the matron was seated
She was in tears
The matron told her she would have to go back to her bed because there was nothing they could do to help her
I left the doctors and their deliberations and walked to the matron
I asked her what the issue was with the lady
The matron said the lady came in with her sick child and was admitted because it was an emergency, and they had to save the life of the child
She said the woman's husband, however, disappeared after they gave him the bill and had not returned to the hospital for over three weeks
Somehow, the lady was able to feed herself while the hospital cared for her child without having collected a dime from them
The lady was tired of staying at the hospital as the child had fully recovered, but they couldn't discharge her because she owed the hospital a lot of money.
The lady had then resorted to emotional blackmail by crying day and night in the hope that the hospital management would let he go without settling her bills.
The matron said the bill was too much to forgive.
I asked her how much it was.
She told me
I went to the lady and asked for her bill details
She gave me
I went to the accounts department of the hospital and cleared the bill
Then I went to the lady and sent her 250,000 Naira
She began to cry in gratitude
I walked back to the deliberating doctors and specialists beside my son's hospital bed and said, "He is fine now."
They looked at me as if I was crazy.
Just then, my son stood up, took the glass bottle that he had been urinating in, and went off to the restroom, accompanied by a nurse
A few minutes later, they returned with a crystal clear bottle of urine
The consultant couldn't believe it
The doctor, however, did
She said she had been looking at me and wondering when I would wear my divine cap and assist them instead of just watching them.
I explained to her that I had laid hands, declared affirmed, confessed, rebuked, encouraged, begged, and pleaded in the place of prayer
I was at my wits' end and the Holy Spirit had been silent, but the moment I saw the case of the other lady, I was quickened in my spirit that solving her dilemma is tied to solving my own dilemma.
My son was discharged that morning.
He will be clocking fourteen in 23 days and has never had such an issue again.

I hope you get the point.

PS: We have been saved from corruption, but we were saved so that we can save others.
When we refuse to save others by sitting on our hands, we are sometimes reminded of what it means to be sick and be in crisis.
This pattern is what I am calling our attention to.
That crisis may not really be your crisis; it could be the Holy Spirit calling your attention to someone who is in real crisis, so that, like Jesus, you can bear their infirmity and offer healing for their stripes.

Soteria

Sometimes all the Christian has to do is pay attention to the pattern through which the Holy Spirit speaks to him or her.
The voice of the Holy Spirit is important, being led by the Holy Spirit is important, seeing by the Holy Spirit is important, but being sent by the Holy Spirit is also important.
Many believers pay very little attention to the last point, on being sent, and most times this negligence is expensive.
Like we read in the story of Jonah, God is not determined even from the Old Testament to destroy sinners or those who don't know him.
The intention of God right from the start was to reconcile mankind to himself
Of what use is punishing a people who had no idea they were flouting your rules?
What sense does it make to make war with people simply because they didn't know you?
God desires to bring all men to the knowledge of Himself, and for this reason, he sent Jesus Christ, who is His express Image and who exhibited his express nature to all men.
Jesus in turn, sent all those who believe in Him to all the nations of the world after the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Acts of the Apostles chapter two.
There is a receiving and then there is a sending forth. We did not receive the gift of salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that we can harvest the fruits without planting new seeds that must grow for others to harvest in the future.
A lot of Christians refuse to preach the gospel or share the good news with the world after they become saved. Some said they were shy, others said they were scared of being rejected by the world, while yet others said they did not want to be persecuted for their faith.
Annointed firefighters gave so many excuses while the world continued to burn.
Heroism is dead.
This was the kind of Christian I was for several years.
The kind of Christian who only prays to be blessed by God but refuses to be of use to God as an instrument through whom the world will be blessed.
I expected the world to come to me running out of thirst, after all, out of my belly flows the living waters.
The world did not know I have what I have; I refused to tell them or demonstrate it because it was inconvenient, and so many people suffered due to my selfishness.
Was Jesus not rejected for his message?
Was Jesus not persecuted for his message?
Was Jesus not almost stoned to death for his message?
Was Jesus not almost thrown down from the cliff for His message?
Was Jesus not eventually crucified for his message?
He chose to save us rather than save himself
He died that we may be the prolongation of his days and complete his assignment
This was as prophesied by Isaiah
Jesus did His part, and He finished it.
We are benefiting fully from the finished works of Christ.
Reaping freely from all the attending benefits of salvation
We have a part to play, but we would rather not play it because it is inconvenient
To this end, the Lord taught me serious lessons some years ago.
I will share a few of them with the hope that a believer in my shoes will learn how to save himself from the crisis that we experience in the place of disobedience.

1. I was working as a PA to a big Pastor in Magodo Phase II when I had my second son.
This young man was very strong and healthy from birth.
I suddenly got an emergency call one Tuesday afternoon that the young man was dying
The carer said he was not breathing well and was growing weaker and weaker by the minute.
I rushed out of the office, jumped into my car, and drove furiously to the house
I picked him up and drove as fast as I could to a hospital just outside Magodo Phase II, second gate from Ketu, where I was living at the time.
All the while as I was driving, I was praying in tongues and screaming his name over and over whenever he seemed to be slipping into unconsciousness, with his eyes rolling in his head
When we got to the hospital, I jumped out of the car, carried him, and rushed off to the emergency
I neither switched off the ignition of the car nor closed the doors
He was almost gone
Thankfully, a doctor was on his seat and as soon as I told him what I observed, he turned my two-year-old son upside down by carrying him with his feet up
Then he spanked his buttocks.
The pain jolted the boy, but not enough
The doctor looked at me and said, "Spank this boy, sir, do not pity him."
So I spanked the boy hard, and whatever was lodged in his throat came flying out as he screamed in pain.
The doctor then turned him around and petted him a bit before administering more treatment
The doctor turned to me and said, "He swallowed something, and the thing was disturbing the passage of air into his lungs. If we didn't do that, he would have died."
I nodded
Then he said, "Your son is lucky, you got here on time. If you look at the compound, you will see an ambulance. A mother is in that ambulance with her dead baby. They had the same issue, but they arrived here too late.
I left the doctor, my son, and his carer in the doctor's office.
I went to the ambulance and I saw this woman in tears, lying beside her on a stretcher was her dead daughter, who was roughly my son's age.
I stepped into the ambulance and asked if I could pray for the young lady
The mother didn't even hear me
I laid my hands on her and prayed
(Remember that I prayed for my own son over and over in the car, and he did not recover.)
The woman's daughter came back to laugh.
Within a few seconds of laying hands on her, she sneezed and coughed out whatever was in her chest.
Glory!
The lady climbed down from the ambulance with her living baby, and the entire hospital erupted in joy
The doctor handed my son over to me and turned his attention to this wonder girl.
The mother hugged me and cried for joy
In all, we spent an hour at the hospital
When we got to the car park, I found the doors of my car ajar and the engine running
The security man stood close to it and said, "I didn't touch anything, sir. I just stood close by so that nobody would come here and drive your car away."

As I began to drive home, I wondered what had happened within the last three hours.
Then the Holy Spirit said to me.
I brought you to that hospital because of that poor lady whose daughter had died
She had prayed and needed that miracle, but there was no one to help her faith or trigger a miracle
You were at work, and I couldn't get your attention so I used your son to call you away from your office so that you could bring salvation to that family.

This incident happened in 2015.

so I just have to trust that the father of all creation has got everything in his hands. So when it gets a little bit overwhelming I just go "I trust you".

Where Are The Builders?

I remember watching a documentary titled "The Men Who Built America some years ago. It was a hit on the History Channel, and it was centered around characters like Andrew Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J.P.Morgan, and Henry Ford.
I learnt a lot from the documentary, and I also went ahead to buy books on these characters
There has to be something unique about building generational wealth when you know for sure that you are racing to the end of your finite lifetime daily, and at the same time, you are building wealth that would outlive you.

Rockefeller single-handedly transformed America from the use of whale oil to the use of petroleum
He built a lot of railways, which he used to transport his oil all over America
He built a monopoly so tight that the American Congress eventually had to step in to break it, allowing other players with different ideas to enter the oil and gas business.

Till tomorrow, most nay-sayers remember the monopoly but they forget about the transformative power Rockefeller's vision brought to the nation of America.
It takes men of vision to build a nation.
Vision building is a risky venture, but the impact is way beyond just the money to be made
When you build a vision around industrializing a nation, you will face a lot of resistance

Those who don't see the vision will wonder why you cannot let things be as they are
Must things change?
Who told him things are not fine as they are?
Some people will only preach and teach about change, leadership, and development
In countries like Nigeria, where we all know the right thing to do and talk about it, but nobody bothers to do it, talk is golden.
It takes a different kind of mindset to move beyond talking to building.

While Dangote was building his refinery, i asked one of his staff members about the progress
The staff member said, "That project will never see the light of day. That man has ventured into a project that will ruin him. Instead of him to keep riding his luck with cement, fertilizer, and sugar. He kept pushing his luck until he ran out of luck."
Most Nigerians believed at the time that it was a scam, and some were very sure it would never work
Someone told me the government will never allow it to succeed.
All the people who spoke against it did so based on past experiences and a display of their lack of faith in a Nigeria where things can work.

When the refinery was eventually commissioned and people saw the evidence of it, they changed the narrative.
They said he will end up creating a monopoly.
Lazy minds criticise what better minds took time and effort to build
This has always been true of human nature.

True builders are inspired by what others are doing and it spurs them on to do more
Dangote said in a recent interview that he was in China and when he heard another business owner speak on his investment and projected profit for the coming year, he felt ashamed, as if he had not done anything.
That is the spirit of a true builder.

A friend wrote to me yesterday and asked me why the church in Nigeria is not following in the footsteps of Dangote in developing Nigeria through capitalist ideals.
He said Nigerian Christian leaders kept building new and bigger churches
I told him he was making the mistake many critics are making by comparing two different things.

Pastors may reside in a nation, but they are building structures on earth for another kingdom entirely.
If a pastor builds a hospital, schools, recreation centres, universities, and churches.
He does not do these things as led by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the church of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of love and light.
The man or woman of God at the helm of affairs in a church or ministry, is only focused on empowering the members and preparing them for the Kingdom to come.
Asking him or her to then turn his attention to secular things is wrong.

Some American politicians once approached Billy Graham to ask him to run for the office of the President of America. They said they had done their research and statistics and discovered that he was the only one who would win with a landslide
He turned it down because he knew what they were seeing and what he was doing may align in the short run but the rules of engagement in the world of Adam and the rules of engagement in the World of Jesus are very different.

I ask that we stop taking the lazy way out of conversations by blaming the same set of people all the time.
Nigeria is beginning to respond to the laws of productivity
The economy is getting better
We (Dangote) are exporting refined oil and supplying billions of liters to the world
We are exporting cement and fertilizer to the world
We are experiencing record growth in the stock exchange, and investor confidence is at an all-time high.
It is time for people who have the means to invest in Nigeria.

Dangote is playing the Rockefeller role.
We need a giant in steel
We need a giant in electricity
We need a giant in transportation (That sector is crying for reformation, investment, and modernization. There is a lot of money to be made if done right)
We need a giant in the blue economy and tourism
We need a giant in the automobile and technology
We need a giant in the health sector
We have seen that the government has no business in business!
Three refineries built by the government with record losses over fifty years
One built by an individual with record profits, while also solving many headaches for the country.

What Nigeria needs now is not social media criticism and name-calling.
We don't need cheap money made from criminal enterprise and fraud
All those who embezzled funds under past governments and those who are embezzling funds now, can you please form an association, put the funds together and spend it on Nigeria?
We have the population, we are teeming with young people, and we are innovative as a people.

We need our own J.P. Morgan
We need our own Henry Ford
We need our own Andrew Vanderbilt
We need our own Carnegie

We need legacy builders, long-term thinkers, and bold industrialists.
I am not all talk too
I promise I have giants in the renewable energy sector and in commerce
I also have three giants in the financial sector
The earlier we begin to build, the sooner we will complete this phase and take over the sectors

If we don't build, others will and when they do, we will be reduced to crying foul and claiming monopoly.

Heaven has always favoured those who do, not those who refrain from doing!

The Eagle And The Sight

As I saw it.

I saw a young man, in his twenties and a forty-two year old walking down the street.
They were talking real estate
The young man sounded like an agent
The forty-two year old is someone I know, but had never met physically before even though we had spoken on the phone once or twice
I recognized him immediately
He was looking for a house to buy in a prime estate and the younger man was taking him around to check out properties
It was around noon
They got to a house
the forty two year old said "I know the owners of this house, they were quite rich in the 2000s, what happened to them?"
The young man said "Nigeria happened to them"
The forty-two-year-old said, "No, they left Nigeria for their own reasons. They are not the kind of family that anything could shake out of Nigeria under any circumstances."
He pointed to the "Not For Sale" on the property and said, "If they were in financial distress, why didn't say put the house up for sale? Don't be quick to assume that everyone who travelled out of Nigeria did so due to any form of distress."
They moved on and found another property, a duplex.
The stairs were a bit worn, and the house would need some work, but it was for sale, and the forty-two-year-old liked it.
They walked into the compound, inspecting the building while they exchanged comments on the repair works that would have to be done and the possible cost as against the cost of the house and so on.
While they were talking, two men walked into the compound looking for the agent
As soon as the agent sighted them, he took off
They chased him
He scaled the fence and ran to the street
His assailants caught up with him and shot him dead
The forty-two-year-old watched the drama with a bit of confusion, he didn't know what was going on and was just standing there, stupefied by the sudden event.
Suddenly, the armed killers turned around and started running towards him

It dawned on him that they were coming to kill him
He tried to run but it was too late
He was shot in the back several times
"The last thing in his mind as he fell was "God, this cannot be the end of my story"
I heard it clearly.
I woke up and checked the time
It was 3.00 AM Nigerian time.
I picked up my phone and called the man
I told him what I saw and asked him to disregard any appointment with any sales agent of any kind for some time regardless of whether it was real estate or car or anything else.
He didn't say much.
He listened, and when I was done, he said, "Thank you, sir."

What Happened.

The Forty-Two-Year-Old had worked in the United States for ten years and saved up every penny he could towards buying into the oil and gas business in Nigeria.
When he realised he had saved enough, he reached out to some people in Nigeria looking to sell their existing oil business infrastructure, like petrol stations, tankers, tank farms, etc
He knew a lot of folks are looking to sell because of the changes in the oil and gas market in recent days

He got three contacts and initiated conversations with them until he narrowed it down to only one.
He did his research and called some friends he had been talking with on the issues of investment.
They had several meetings and raised the funds needed to buy the business he found in Nigeria
He booked his flight and set up the appointments
He arrived in Nigeria on Friday, slept at a hotel in Lagos.
The agent who was to connect him to the business owners called him several times on Friday, seeking to have a sit-down with him before the meeting to discuss strategies, but he knew the man was just looking to get some money off him and he was not in the mood to pay anyone a dime until his deal was done.
His appointment was for Monday morning
I called him on Sunday evening.
He decided not to attend the meeting as planned after the call and sent a message to the agent and the business owners that he would like to reschedule.
The agent got angry and said a lot of nasty words to him.
He spent Monday morning in his hotel room, praying along with us on Dominion Prayer.
At 4 pm, he got a call from the business owners.
They wanted to know if he was fine and when they could have the meeting
He told them he would reach out to the agent and get back to them
They told him the agent was killed earlier that day with another man at the site of one of their properties.
What happened?
The agent was a cultist
He had been expelled from the university due to his known affiliation with cultism

He went into real estate as a means of earning a living and got juicy tips due to his father's influence.
His father is a high-ranking police officer whose office conducted background checks on possible business-affiliated transactions
When two parties reach out trying to find out if a business is authentic and the possible risks involved, the cases land on his father's table.
His father then tells him of the possible businesses, and this leads to him reaching out to the parties to broker deals where he earns a healthy commission.

When he called to cancel the Monday morning meeting, the agent reached out to the business owners and told them his client was an unserious person, but he had someone else who was interested in the business who was ready to inspect the properties.
They gave him permission to take this new client to the properties.
The next thing they heard was that the two of them had been shot dead
The agent was killed on the street leading to their main office block, while the other party was killed on their property.
The business owners said they called him just to be sure he was not the affected party.
They said their preliminary investigation points to the cultist background of the agent and retaliatory attacks based on some of his antics while in school.

The forty-two-year-old was shocked to the bone.

He missed a date with death by the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit.

PS: The one who watches over us neither slumbers nor sleeps
He is keeping us in all our ways, lest we dash our feet against a stone

I see as you open the eyes of my understanding to see
