@SpencerDea2103@dano1311@RobertJenrick It's the profits from businesses and working people that gets stolen by the state. They waste literal billions of other people's money. Wealth never gets redistributed; it gets misspent and squandered. Then taxes are raised again, with very little in the way of an internal audit
@SpencerDea2103@RobertJenrick Why not condemn both instances? Stealing is just wrong. I've been a skint-arse in many periods of my life and I never felt the need to steal to survive. I've had many instances of being a victim of theft as well
@SpencerDea2103@dano1311@RobertJenrick Some people will always steal, regardless of their financial situation. You're quick to point the finger at millionaire tax-dodgers; their fortune hasn't stopped their criminal actions. For many, rich or poor, the absence of consequence is the justification.
@SpencerDea2103@dano1311@RobertJenrick So your solution to the excesses of corporate greed is to replace it with socialist greed, via taxation. More big government and even more bloated bureaucracy
@joshuapbrink@RupertLowe10 On pages 159-163, it's pretty clear about reforms for sentencing, and support for victims and their families, including compensation; followed by pages 164-168 with legislation reforms. Then there's the pledge to pursue private prosecutions with the remaining crowd funds.
@Boston_Terf@brandwizard2@babybeginner It's not just happening to lesbians. Gay men are also being shamed for not wanting to date trans-men on dating apps.
@timjcarden I always favoured Pepsi over Coke until the Sugar Tax was introduced in 2018. Since then, every soft drink in the UK has been ruined with sweetener. It's in all the original, diet and zero sugar variants of the main brands. Coca-Cola original/cherry are the only ones left intact

@dieworkwear Don’t get me started on tapered trousers and jeans. Can’t stand them. I really resent the monopoly of tapered styles. It’s as if there’s a silent insistence that all men should wear this cut. Some of us like our trousers to sit comfortably over the shoe.
@bigunderstander@paranoid_smile@lexfridman@elonmusk I can't name one specifically, but current usage doesn't determine its timeless quality. Is a website or app your only frame of reference for an iconic design style? What about Architecture? Or interiors? Compare an Art Deco skyscraper against a Brutalist tower from the 1960s.
@daily_pool @lexfridman@elonmusk Sure, both Xs are similar but they're not identical. The new X could've been inspired and adapted from this design. He didn't say the new X was Art Deco, he said the design was closest to that style. In other words, inspired and adapted from Art Deco
@distastefulman@lexfridman@elonmusk Are you just being facetious? Every design style came from a time and place in history. "Timeless" in this context means, instantly recognisable without looking aged or out of date. Always stylish, despite current trends.
@Live_by_Faith1@AConstituition@Exverum@LisaBritton@tedcruz 5/5 And no, I don't have a daughter. I have three nieces and one grand-niece. What's your point? That only parents have a right to have an opinion, no matter how irrational and ill-informed? And this isn't about power for me, so I don't know why you even mentioned it.
@Live_by_Faith1@AConstituition@Exverum@LisaBritton@tedcruz 4/5 So why shouldn't I be angry? I've done nothing wrong. And now you keep insisting that I'm the one who's angry at people for not watching it when from the outset, it's been the other way around but you're so intoxicated on your own hubris to realise.
