J.Q. Adams was Ambassador to Russia before he was president.
In that role, he worked closely with the Tsar and Foreign Minister.
Back then, he was considered a top diplomat and representative of the American people.
Now, he'd be smeared as a sellout to "foreign influence."
"America goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy."
"She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own... she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all wars of interest and intrigue."
- J.Q. Adams (July 4, 1821 speech to House)
Soon, Trump will transform the Oval Office into the Oval Octagon, where we will just beat up foreign leaders who stand in the way of peace.

@LPNational "A fire broke out backstage in a theatre. A clown came out to warn the public; they thought it was a joke and applauded. He repeated it; the acclaim was even greater. I think that's how the world will end: to general applause from wits who believe it's a joke."
- Kierkegaard
Young conservatives/libertarians are more radically "America First" than Trump and his aged base.
We want domestic deportations, not foreign interventions.
We want jobs for American patriots, not alien laborers.
GOP's choice in 2028: win bigly with youth or lose with the old.
No sugarcoating it.
This is a huge problem-- maybe not in the midterms where they mostly won't vote, but in 2028.
Younger voters don't like foreign wars and expensive gas.
We can have great justifications for our policies (or not) but political reality gets a vote.
The claim that opposing US tax dollars going to Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine makes you pro-Iran, pro-China, or pro-Russia is one of the most ridiculous arguments

@QuetzalPhoenix The PR complex founded by Bernays is the glue that holds The Powers That Be together, that bridges business, media, and government (particularly intelligence agencies).
When you're looking at media, the media is looking back, but they're taking notes.

You can keep blaming Hegel, or Marx, or Derrida, or whoever else you want for the sorry state of the modern world.
But far too few place the blame where it really lays โ with Edward Bernays and the informational shenanigans of the Public Relations complex he helped establish.
When Trump said "no new wars" he was actually commenting on the cyclical nature of time and how all the wars we're fighting have already been fought countless times.
Had a great time chatting with @MLiamMcCollum and US Senate candidate @TomJandron about foreign policy, freedom of the press, and congressional politics.

@MarioNawfal If we were really concerned about aliens, or interdimensional beings, or demons or whatever, then we'd put aside politics and work with the other powers capable of doing anything about it.

A few years ago, I asked the Pentagon's UFO chief whether we work with allies and adversaries alike to share info on incidents.
Many reports come from abroad, yet we don't collaborate with Russia or China, which surely have their own sensors/intel.
A sign this is all unserious.

"The current crisis elicits a lot of pessimism. And the pessimism adds to less confidence in the future. The two feed on themselves, making our situation worse...
Achieving legislative power and political influence should not be our goal. Most of the change, if it is to come, will not come from the politicians, but rather from individuals, family, friends, intellectual leaders and our religious institutions...
The ultimate solution is not in the hands of the government."

@MLiamMcCollum@beinlibertarian If Trump fully rejoined X after getting elected instead of surrounding himself with brainrotted boomer hypemen on Truth, he might have made far fewer bad decisions this administration.
