We can confirm that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury.

The Ghana international forward suffered a significant quad injury during our Premier League fixture against Sunderland in January.

He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery.

If I’ve said it before, I’ll say it a million times over. I fucking love Cristian Romero. He is a warrior, a winner and our captain. One of the truly great things about our club. He’s the closest thing we have to a fan in the dressing room. I don’t care if he’s capable of mistakes on the pitch - everyone is.

The odd mistake is more than made up for by his elite mentality. He wants change at the club because he wants success as much as we do. And he is a rare example of a player who is happy to call out what all of us can see happening to our club. Don’t hate him for it. Embrace him for it. And for God’s sake let’s start singing his name every week.
