This is what started it all for me - Halloween TV debut on NBC on Friday, October 30th 1981. I was 8 years old and it freaked me out :) https://t.co/46qPnOlxou
#NowWatching THE THING EXPANDED
I love HALLOWEEN 1978 for sentimental reasons but THE THING is my favorite Carpenter film and I believe is best work.
@PhilNobileJr LOVE your commentary ๐
@DyerbolicalDB@ihorrorvixen Hell yeah. Anyone else utilize similar PRO moves?
1) Swap the actual video cassette of the popular movie into another unpopular case so you could rent it later, and
2) Have the clerk check the RETURN bin for the popular movie
3) Add you girlfriend to your account
Happy Friday the 13th. @flixology101 recommended pairing - if you are going to watch the 1981 classic today which is set at Crystal Lake NJ, then you gotta go old school PBR for the whole โCamp Bloodโ campfire story experience!
.@thingexpanded director @IanNathan2 wants you to come out of the documentary with a fresh perspective on John Carpenter's 1982 classic.

@HorrorFanRyan@MikeAndSerialx Mine is an easy choice. Part III dock scene with the spear gun. A horror icon was born as its the first time Jason appears wearing the hockey mask. And this was in 3D and the arrow came straight at you. And they way he causally drops itโฆ Pure 80s horror awesomeness.
@KillerCritics That's not the mask from 5 and in 4 Jason doesn't get stabbed in the eye with a knife... LIARS!!! I truly believe many marketing posters are done by people who have never seen the movies and are just handed basic notes about the movie/plot (ie: do something w/a hockey mask)
