I think my ideal JB trade/Celtics off-season would involve JB + Hauser to Portland, taking back Scoot + Jrue, sending Shaedon to New Orleans for Murphy, and likely just forwarding the picks there as well. Sign Rob, Looney or Nick Richards. This is assuming Clingan isn't an option
With the Brown-Clippers and Kawhi-Raptors reporting...
- C's get a big, CMB, Barrett's expiring, two firsts & a swap
- LA gets Jaylen Brown
- Toronto gets Kawhi Leonard
Lamelo for Derrick + Hauser works cap wise fwiw. Jaylen for Lamelo + salary is an option too, but I don't see them needing a wing unless Bridges gets moved
Just in: The Detroit Pistons are trading C/F Isaiah Stewart to the Memphis Grizzlies for three future second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Pistons clear Stewart's salary and pick up assets while Grizzlies acquire a 25-year-old as a rugged frontcourt piece.
I don't understand the idea of Celtics swapping White for Naz/Gobert. Either move makes us worse, and leaves us without guard depth. Especially when centers should be available for the MLE to round out the rotation. Unless there's an easy path to guard out there
The Cavaliers contemplated a Darius Garland for Jrue Holiday swap before ultimately trading for James Harden, per @ChrisFedor
They ultimately determined he wasn’t enough of a reliable offensive engine

A mock trade proposed by Yahoo's Nico Martinez:
Boston receives Rudy Gobert, a 2028 first-round pick, a 2032 first-round pick, and a 2032 second-round pick
Minnesota receives Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard
Who says no?
