We sincerely appreciate his positive assurance to examine and take forward several important demands, including:

✅Festival Special Trains to South India via Tatanagar–Rourkela
✅Additional Sleeper & AC coaches in key express trains
✅Speeding up slow-running trains & rationalising slack timings
✅New MEMU/Intercity services and improved connectivity
✅Restoration & extension of important train services
✅Better punctuality and passenger amenities
✅Revision of Mumbai/Pune seat quota from Tatanagar & Chakradharpur

We are hopeful that these assurances will translate into concrete action for the benefit of lakhs of passengers across Kolhan, Jharkhand & neighbouring States.

🚨 Is train travel no longer safe?

A woman police officer, her husband and their child were allegedly assaulted aboard the 13024 Gaya–Howrah Express after they objected to a group of men attempting to occupy seats in the AC coach.

The family claims they sought help through RailMadad and from the TTE, but no timely assistance arrived. At Kashi Chak station, the train was reportedly stopped after its vacuum brake was cut and the family was allegedly attacked. The protest that followed delayed the train by nearly an hour.

If a police officer's family can allegedly face such violence during a train journey, what does it mean for the safety of ordinary passengers?

Authorities must conduct a thorough investigation, hold those responsible accountable, and strengthen passenger security.
