Proud to join @BixinVentures for Han River Sunset on Sep 29 in Seoul. Looking forward to talking AI and the next onchain economy. See you there. 🌅 #KBW2026
@Forbes is featuring THEA.
It's a real look at what we've been building — and why the shape of it is different. Most of the market tokenises the supply side: compute. We tokenise demand — inference itself.
The query a client already pays for, priced and settled as a unit. What makes that credible is what sits underneath: predictive behaviour in risk markets — 35 billion-plus real decisions, made under genuine stakes in real time, accumulated over a decade.
As the article puts it, the real moat is that it's the kind of proprietary data you can't vibe-code your way to — it takes years to build something that deep and that clean.
Boaz Sobrado (@sobradob) goes further than the headline — into the architecture, the economics, and what happens when AI agents become the customers.

MIT’s evaluation holds out later conversations from people already observed. It does not hold out entire people as the main test.
Patterns are mined from participant A’s own week of speech, then used to predict participant A’s next verbal tendency in a new episode. Performance improves as more of that same person’s data accumulates.
MIT’s Before You Say It offers early evidence that verbal behavior can be anticipated from longitudinal conversation—not by guessing the next line, but by extracting situation-specific patterns, including the conditions under which those patterns do not hold.
The study is small (14 participants; ~1,000 hours of everyday speech). The result is still worth taking seriously: a person’s history, structured as inspectable rules rather than an undifferentiated transcript, improved prediction over standard prompting.
This is close to the problem THEA works on. In risk environments, the useful object is not a reply to the last utterance. It is a stable account of how someone tends to act when a familiar pressure returns—and a clear record of the exceptions. If those rules cannot be inspected, the system is difficult to supervise and difficult to trust.
Conversation is a contained version of that problem. High-stakes decision-making is the version that matters operationally. In both cases the requirement is the same: forecast the likely path early enough to be useful, and keep the person accountable for the action that follows.
THEA Network's coordination and settlement integrity start at the infrastructure level. The event-sourcing system built on FoundationDB records every state change as an immutable event, making state reconstructable from the event log at any point across complex distributed workflows.

The volume figure understates the shift. Agents are not only outnumbering people online; increasingly, they are the ones deciding, on behalf of users or between machines.
The constraint is not bandwidth. It is anticipating how these systems act, and coordinating and settling what they do in a form that can be verified. That distinction determines whether a 1,000-to-1 machine internet is trustworthy or merely large.
Each new provider increases the capabilities, utility, and economic activity of THEA Network for every existing participant. THEA Network acts as a coordination and settlement layer for independently hosted AI services - model providers host their own infrastructure and integrate via standardized APIs. 🧵
