Jake Lang participated in a “No Holds Barred”Q&A X space last night that I was barred from participating in. (Clips and a link posted in replies to this post)

In that space, he had much to say.
Among other things, he confirmed my long held suspicion that Jim Hoft/The Gateway Pundit fired me in 2023 for refusing to acquiesce to Lang’s demand that I retract large portions of a story and issue a public apology for including quoted statements made by one of his fellow inmates.

He also confirmed my earlier reporting that at one point he was placed in the Segregated Housing Unit at Brooklyn MDC to protect him from other inmates.

But even though none of the questions I wanted to ask Lang last night were specifically addressed, I did appreciate getting an answer to a question I asked Jim Hoft back in April. Because to this day, Hoft has declined to answer.

The information he provided about why he was placed in the SHU was enlightening as well, especially because it contradicts his previous claims that it was done to suppress his public media activities.

Now, as far as the questions I did want to ask, it is now apparent to me that Lang continues to dodge them. But that is his prerogative, there are plenty of public statements which can be referenced, and the exhaustive, meticulously researched report I’ve been compiling for many months can be completed whenever I choose — I had planned on waiting until after the Trump team announces their official strategy for J6 pardons and continuing investigation. I’m in no rush.

But if anyone would like to know the specific questions I was hoping he could answer, here they are:

1. Were the stories in The Gateway Pundit about Ryan Samsel in the broom closet completely fabricated?

2. Have you or any organizations you manage been employed by or contracted with Jim Hoft/The Gateway Pundit in any way in the last four years? If so, are you willing to share the details of those arrangements?

3. What is your relationship with TX Rep. Randy Weber? Have you ever been in contact with him? If so, what was discussed?

4. Are you willing to publicly disclose all financial statements and individual transactions associated with your various fundraising/defendant assistance efforts?

I understand why some people would like to move forward, my old friend Treniss Evans most of all.

But making defamatory statements and plotting in secret chats to sue Shawn Witzemann/TMI for asking questions and reporting facts is just silly. And even Jake himself has said truth and light needs to guide the way.

I couldn’t agree more.
