Over the period of 3 days, the kids learned both theoretical and practical aspects of computer literacy and we couldn’t be more proud.

And this is just the beginning. Children in Makoko will continue to have computer classes supported by a trainer provided by Afriminds.

It’s Day 2 was for a more practical approach of what the kids were taught in the first day.

Three days of hands-on tech exposure, digital confidence building, and foundational computer skills for children who deserve every opportunity the future holds.

In a few weeks, Afriminds will be launching her pilot digital literacy project for children in underserved communities, starting with an underserved school in Yaba.

The truth is being born into certain environments already puts some children miles behind before they even get a fair chance at digital literacy.

We can’t change where they are currently but we can influence where they are going.

This is what preparing kids for the future looks like.
