78 years ago this week, David Ogilvy opened his agency on Madison Avenue.
Three years later, on the way to a photo shoot, he stopped at a drugstore and bought an eyepatch. He put it on the man in the Hathaway shirt, and a plain white shirt had a story.
It's still the best lesson in advertising we know. The ads we remember were never really about the product. A Rolls-Royce so quiet the loudest thing in it was the clock. A funny little car that told America to think small. A hammer through a world of grey. An eighty-year-old man running across a bridge at dawn. A bottle with your name on it.
Not one of them sold a product. They sold a feeling.
We made a short film about them, painted frame by frame, as a tribute to the people who made those ads.
Ogilvy also wrote: "When people read your copy, they are alone. Pretend you are writing to each of them a letter." For most of a century, you could only pretend.
The AI CMO knows every one of your customers and writes to each of them at the moment that matters to them.
Because even with AI, people still want to feel something.
Every marketing team has more ideas than hours.
So we gave yours a team of its own.
Meet the AI employees in The AI CMO. They work alongside your people, not instead of them.
While your team rests, they keep going:
– The PPC Specialist finds the ads that stopped earning and proposes what to pause, with the money at stake.
– The CRM Manager writes to the customers drifting away, as a win-back that waits for your approval.
– Our newest hire, the Customer Support Agent, answers a question at three in the morning. It learns your helpdesk first, answers only the kinds of question you switch on, and hands everything else to a person.
– And the rest of the team: content, SEO, social, brand, growth and analytics, companions, or any role you can brief.
Every one of them works from your own customer data in The AI CMO.
And when you're back, the work is waiting. Proposed, not decided.
You say yes. You say not yet. You stay in charge.
Not instead of your team. Alongside it. Superpowers for the people you already have.

Our first film.
"Shouldn't you be working?"
She is.
The morning's emails went out on time. The day's social posts went live. Survey answers joined customer records, next to what each person spends. The strategy re-read the warehouse and adjusted. A win-back journey sent its second touch.
She didn't open a single one of those tools. She opened her shop.
While you run the business, The AI CMO runs the marketing.
