The Jamui video is indefensible. Two Class 10 students were surrounded, assaulted and the girl was molested on a public road. That is a crime, not culture.

Police have registered an FIR under POCSO, recorded the minors’ statements and detained two people. The rest must be identified and prosecuted quickly.

Women’s safety cannot wait for political framing. The accused should face the law, not slogans.
