@JackDan110 Our lunchroom supervisor at our elementary school in Calgary was forcing children to sign and write messages of appreciation for the teachers. She told them to write letters at home.
@BertaProudDad The lunchroom supervisor at our elementary school forced the children to write letters thanking and showing appreciation to the teachers. She made them sign stuff at school and asked them to go home and write a letter. This happened the first day back at school in Calgary!
@JasonOnTheDrums Jason, can you please explain how we have these large classes on average?
If we take the students and divide them by the teachers, we donโt get anywhere near 40. Not even 30.
Am I missing something?
@BertaProudDad Pathetic! They are harming them by not teaching them. Now indoctrinating them? Disgusting.
Hands of our children! The classroom is not for politics! The classroom is not for ideology. It is for EDUCATION!
@BradLafortune The system is broken. We can all agree. Education in Canada in general is FAILING.
Sacrificing our children specially the young ones is not a way to fix the problem. Trying to remove funding from alternatives to public schools is not the way.
This is not for the children.
@CoryBMorgan Private or public school is a parents choice.
Parents should not be vilanized for wanting the best for their children. With the % of taxes that we pay here in Canada those who choose private also deserve to use that money for school.
Is the ATA afraid of competition?
@Martyupnorth_2 The only price is the education of the future generations of Canada. Of 1at graders fall behind in reading (they might if this goes on for a while) they wonโt catch up until 4th grade!
This is not about the children!
The ATA needs to figure out what they want.
@cnm5000 This could be an interesting solution for urban areas like Calgary and Edmonton. I donโt think it will be a good idea for rural areas.
More important is to make sure the Principals and Boards act to benefit the children and not any political point of view.
Iโm renewing my #autoinsurance I am in shock. I got a 2024 Sierra, no accidents, no tickets. How Iโm I getting quoted 4 and $6,000 dollars? This is wild. #unafordable#canada#alberta How are Canadians supposed to afford this?
