I choked up a bit & got goosebumps. Looked to my left & my wife was crying.
Special thing to create a genuine emotional response with good drama & character building. Best theater-going experience of my life โ right ahead of watching The New World alone in an empty theater.
"On your left."
Relive this moment and hear the cheers from the #AvengersEndgame opening night crowd during the "Portals" scene.
What was your reaction when you saw all the portals during your first ever viewing of this epic film?
I know everyoneโs yearning for more videos (wink), but just to update: had a virus of some kind (maybe Covid, but was refused testing based on overall risk level being lower), was out of it for a few days. To celebrate this trying time, first video back will be #Contagion. ๐
This is the shot transition that occurs at the 61% mark. Perhaps people are put off by the hard transition from voyeuresque audience-perspective b&w to first-person character-perspective color... ๐ค
Iโve only privately shared Reincarnation, the short film I finished last week, with cast/crew and select family. Looks like they love it (not)! ๐๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
"Each new film is like a trial. Before I step in front of the camera, I do not know whether I am going to fall or whether I am going to flyโand that is exactly the way I want it to stay." Happy birthday to the astonishing Juliette Binoche, an actress of transcendent talents! ๐๐

How The Last Jedi treats expectations:
โYouโre wrong, idiot!โ
How Knives Out treats expectations:
โHa, gotcha! What if instead of that, itโs actually...โ
The Last Jedi is the condescending asshole manager. Knives Out is the fun, smart manager who brings the best out of you.
@AceInYourHoles I personally liked Godzilla a little more, but wasnโt overjoyed by it either. Liked this more than Godzilla 2, though. What a shitshow.
@B_Wallace45 Itโll be a little bit before I can show it publicly. Film festival circuit is the goal and many festivals disqualify a film if itโs been shown publicly already. Might set up a private link, though.
Just completed postproduction on a short film Iโve been on-off working on for a little over 4 yrs. Started filming in October 2015, same month as one of my heros, Chantal Akerman, left the world. It was always my intention to pay respect to her in this film if/when I finished.
There were certainly times I didnโt think I would finish it at all. Long stretches when I didnโt even touch it. Many times I felt I needed to add one more thing, but that Iโd do that โlater,โ and there was โno rush,โ nobody was waiting on it anyway.
Sigh.
Long journey.
