🇮🇳 The Harsh Truth: Why India Is Still Lagging Behind

I have said this before when Congress was in power on Facebook, and I will say this again when BJP is in power, but this time on Twitter, Indians are among the most hypocritical people in the world.

They cry about racism when they go abroad, yet they are the ones who discriminate the most within their own country. They mock Biharis, call people from the North-East “Chinese” or “Chinkis,” and stereotype Southerners with slurs and names. The irony is painful.

When it comes to politics, they demand development, but when it’s time to vote, they choose caste and religion over competence. I personally know MLAs who were financially well-off before politics, who genuinely used their own money to bring development, and yet they were thrown out the next election all because caste mattered more than contribution.

Indians love to flaunt their religion but don’t even practice it. Most can’t go beyond the “Karma-Dharma” concept of the Bhagavad Gita, and 99% don’t even know what the Gita truly teaches.

Forget about the Vedas, ask them to name all four, and they’ll go silent. Yet they’ll proudly call themselves Hindus, talk about “Hindu culture,” and preach about India’s great traditions.

The reality is, Indians are getting westernized while westerners are embracing the spirituality that once defined India.

Indians talk about being a superpower, about becoming like the U.S. or Japan, but they can’t even stop littering their own streets or voting based on caste.

They want clean roads, they want jobs, they want progress but they refuse to change themselves.

As we say in Hindi, “Jaisi janta, vaisa raja.”

The rulers reflect the people. India won’t change until its citizens change.

Stop blaming the government. Stop blaming the system. The system is you.

If you truly want a better India, stop pointing fingers and start reflecting.

Change begins not in Delhi, but in your own home, your own choices, and your own mindset.

Until then, no government, no party, and no leader can save this country.
