@MagicEden_NFT derivative flag is fine, but to have it removed from magic eden home page is not fair to the projects. It should be based on movement per day for projects
Seems like people like the deriv badge but maybe removing derivs from front page is heavy handed?
Vote for your fav idea:
1. Put derivs on homepage but label as derivs
2. Create toggle to explore original / deriv / all collections
3. Keep derivs off homepage
Ideas welcome 🙏🏼
@MagicEden_NFT At this point, since it seems people have a problem with derivatives showing up NEXT to their collections. Your best option may be to open a derivatives trending section.
Otherwise you are siding with censorship in a decentralized landscape. A big fat NO-NO
@MagicEden_NFT The badge is fine, because it makes people aware of it being a homage, but no homepage is unfair because the popular collection should reflect the popular projects on ME regardless of badge, which means it's only fair for derivative projects to be on homepage if they're popular.
@MagicEden_NFT Removing derivative projects from the homepage in general makes no sense, but do what you have to do.
A poll on twitter is not 100% fair. bigger account have more power over the outcome.
Let's go back to Web2 where big guys have the power.
We’re working our hardest to be iterative & solutions-oriented based on community feedback. We’re trying a new thing where derivative projects get badges and are not shown on the homepage. What do you think?
FYI more details on our pinned tweet.
@MagicEden_NFT yeah I feel like there should be a separate popular function for derivatives, I feel like taking it completely off the front page damages the concept and acts more as a flag
@MagicEden_NFT The badge is fine - but I don’t agree on not showing them on the main page. Collections with high volume will go unnoticed, doesn’t seem fair IMO.
