Drove to Detroit (6 hours) to get my daughter's account activated as @CapitalOne was incapable of solving over the phone or Zoom. They are not a DIGITAL BANK. WARNING - If you choose to do business with them they may make you drive to a branch, regardless of distance.
Day #15 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago to show them her social security card in person. Done with CapitalOne. Driving to location to resolve and close her and our accounts. #TellEveryone
Day #14 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. No Capital One executives out there willing to intervene to help a customer???
Day #13 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. Still nothing. No one cares enough to try to help. So disappointing.
Day #12 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. Moving my entire relationship from Capital One since they can't seem to resolve.
Day #11 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. Still no resolution.
Day #10 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. Called corporate office, left voicemail. Still no resolution.
Day #9 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. Still no phone call, no leadership response. Hard to believe this can happen in America!
Day #8 of @CapitalOne holding my high school daughter's life savings ($11,000) hostage unless we drive to Chicago (7 hrs round trip) to show them her social security card in person. No leadership response. Customer support is not empowered to solve. This is not a digital bank!
@Jordan_techz This guy is actually a fraudster, be careful. He wanted me to pay him $210 to unlock my Capital One account. 100% Fraud. Texted me to be sure it wasn't tracked in X. @CapitalOne - Be warned.
@CapitalOne 1.5 hours later and the Marketing team that monitors X is trying but no help from the people that actually make decisions and no one to talk to. What happened to Capital One?
@CapitalOne I know what's not going to be in my wallet soon if this doesn't get resolved soon. So sad to see @CapitalOne lose sight of the customer experience.
@CapitalOne I don't want to be heard. I just want someone that actually cares about the situation and has the authority to resolve it. I've talked to multiple people on two separate calls and called the Chicago branch. - Come to the branch is what they all say - 4 hours away.
@CapitalOne Does anyone at Capital One care about helping us? We are literally just trying to use the accounts you allowed us to open, fund, and then lock for no reason that anyone can give us.
@CapitalOne Unbelievably horrible experience with Capital One today. My daughter opened her first bank account based on my recommendation with Capital One and now they locked her account and say she needs to go to a branch...there is no branch anywhere near us. Need help!
