I was having daily zoom calls with players rejected by top clubs, learnt about their lives, how they got into the game, what those experiences were like & even with everything they had been through they still wanted to ‘make it’. Special project I was lucky to be involved with!

I remember in the back end of COVID days working from home, finding and ‘scouting’ players who were without a club - almost like real life Football Manager! (1/2)

I started running again in October using the couch to 5k app. Today I ran my first ever 10km. I’m quite honestly shocked at the progress I’ve made. Never thought I’d enjoy running but here we are 😂

@swspurs Totally agree, they also need have to bite and ready to shake it up - a Kompany or Carrick perhaps? Yes it’s still early for either of them but have shown already they have the minerals for success. We need someone to pass on wisdom to Ryan Mason who could be the future
