A couple of months ago I asked @kangminlee in one of his Fortnite twitch streams if I could sketch him and he said yes!
So, here’s the final product! I actually finished this a while back, I just hadn’t got around to sharing it. I also plan to post a Timelapse video of Rumble of this particular drawing so stay tuned for that!
Someone @ Kangmin so he can see this 🤣 X says he can’t be tagged in photos.

“Self Portrait 1” 20 x 20 Charcoal on Paper
This was the very first self portrait I ever made back in late 2019/early2020.
I was still in art school at the time... Drawing 1 was the class. While many didn't know, I was in the beginnings of some of the hardest times I would go through at this time. At this point, I already hated school, and truly I hated so much of my life. I was losing all of my aspirations and will to keep going. This shows in the lifeless expression painted across the paper.
I didn't know at the time that 4 years later I would look back at this drawing — and all the heartbreak and emotion that followed it — and smile. I had no idea that I would look back and laugh and say "Silly girl, oh how I wish you would've trusted in your Father in Heaven who loves His children and gives them good gifts. He was getting you through then and He's still with you today."
If you're a struggling artist like I was, let me encourage you to not give up. Even if you want to. Even if it seems that all of the world is against your pursuit. You'll look back one day with a vast library of achievement and you will laugh too.
God bless you, and Coram Deo.

***Subtle Rant Warning***
I’ve struggled as an artist for a long time for a number of reasons that I don’t care disclose in one X post. Just know that I’ve had one crisis after another that’s caused me to nearly give up on art numerous times.
I’ve tried Instagram multiple times since 2018 and had great success with it in regard to promoting my work. However, that constant internal struggle (and many external struggles really) and perpetual fear of failure has held me back from progressing past a point.
So at some point in 2023 I took a break from all social media. I started a full time career job in my area and devoted myself to that, as well as looking inwardly and fixing these issues I’ve had.
I’ve spent many days and nights asking myself “Why?” Why do I keep failing? Only to come to the inevitable conclusion that the fear of failure is ultimately what has held me back.
This world we live in is broken and this life is messy. Nothing apart from Christ our Lord is perfect and in this life we will hit bumps and make mistakes; sometimes huge shortcomings.
However, because that is the common human experience, the conclusion we must make is that we only truly fail if we don’t try at all. The greatest success stories in all of life are riddled with mishaps, mistakes and blunders. But when you push through and keep stepping you’ll find the finish line you’ve toiled for is at the end of it all.
You only lose the race if you sit down in the middle of the track and forfeit.
So all of that to say, I’m giving Instagram — and all social media excluding Facebook — another try in this upcoming year.
I’m not going to quit simply because I’m afraid I’ll mess up or fail. Because I will mess up, but if I quit when I make a mistake, that is failure,
So if you want to join me on my art journey through the end of the world —because this world sure is going crazy right now — then please follow me and keep up with that progress here and on Instagram and rumble.
Much love to the few of you who see… God bless and Coram Deo.

I told myself I wouldn’t be late this year.
I’m late.
I wanted to just throw it away and quit like I have done every year since this challenge started.
Not this year. Not this year.
I’m behind, but I will be catching up.
Be ready for the upcoming #Inktober spam.

I started to read from Proverbs on my main Rumble channel! Proverbs is rich in wisdom and it provides the “impossibility of the contrary” argument- “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)
