@hzjoe03@TheCriticalDri2 If Hamas never began the war on October 7th with one of the largest acts of terror in history, then the individuals who were tragically innocent victims of war would still be alive.
@hzjoe03@TheCriticalDri2 Maintaining the lowest civillian to combatant ratio in modern warfare with nearly 1-1. It did so by sending leaflets into Gaza prior to strikes and several other safety measures. The state of Gaza now is tragic and the innocent lives lost are a tragedy. However, at the same time,
We killed over 100,000 people in Tokyo fire bombings in a couple of days during WWII…
These people are all idiots and liars.
Gaza is tiny, about 139 square miles, and has over 2 million people packed into that space, meaning there are roughly 14,000 to 15,000 people per square mile (yes, this is among the highest densities in the world).
Let’s compare that to some historical battles for scale:
The Battle of Stalingrad caused around 2 million casualties in about six months, and the Battle of Berlin killed roughly 125,000 civilians in only a few weeks.
Similarly, the US campaign to retake Mosul from ISIS resulted in tens of thousands of civilian deaths in a city of about 1.5 to 2 million people over nine months.
Against that historical backdrop, a figure around 75,000 casualties over more than two years of intense urban warfare in one of the world’s most densely populated territories would be historically low relative to many comparable battles fought in dense cities.
Do you understand how stupid claiming this was some genocide is? Do you understand that had Israel wanted to, they could have killed every person in Gaza indiscriminately?
They didn’t because they aren’t what all of the propagandists are saying they are.
Don’t fall for their idiotic lies.
@m00nieeeee@erenfromtargets And this one too. The “annual average” being “low” with 23 rockets fired at Israel should just about summarize my entire point.
@m00nieeeee@erenfromtargets Here’s an example of what AI said about this topic. While it begins to explain post-October 7, it continues by explaining pre-october 7 statistics.
@m00nieeeee@erenfromtargets Countries. In the end, against all odds, Israel WON this war, validating its right to the land even further. Since then, it has been attacked and threatened CONSTANTLY, with the only reason for its survival, once again, being thanks to it’s devotion to defence of its people.
@m00nieeeee@erenfromtargets Educated enough to actually engage in this conversation, so I’ll take the opportunity to educate you myself. In 1948, when Israel legally established a state with the approval of Britian (who owned Mandate Palestine at the time), it was attacked by its FIVE neighbouring
Call me naive, but I'm still appalled at how "international law" wasn't a thing when Iran murdered more than 30,000 people in two days, but it suddenly it's all that matters when the US and Israel are trying to stop it.
@pspspssspsps But for now, I’d like to acknowledge how absurd it is to assert yourself as an activist for spreading hate toward an entire group of people. I have SEVERAL Israeli friends, all of which are incredibly kind, thoughtful and authentic people. I’m sorry you live with such negativity.
@pspspssspsps Is this considered activism to you? Hating an entire group of people? Would you EVER say this about Russians? Or the Chinese? Two groups of people whose countries have acted in severely immoral ways. We could get into why Israel has every right to exist and do what it has done,
@Kface2610@erenfromtargets Gaza, Yemen, and several others. And yes—Israel is, contrasting online claims, an example of DEcolonization as Jews are INDIGENOUS to the land itself, but were, themselves, colonized by Romans.
@Kface2610@erenfromtargets Correct! I do believe that Israel—a country respresenting the largest decolonization project the world has ever witnessed—is entitled to freedom from constant attacks from neighbouring countries/enemies. Israel is repeatedly and unprovokedly attacked by Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and
@m00nieeeee@erenfromtargets But have rather been constant victims to repeated attacks from neighbouring countries and their respective terror proxies, most of which are funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
@m00nieeeee@erenfromtargets From Gaza in 2005. Since then, (in 2007) the people of Gaza elected Hamas—a globally recognized terrorist organization—as their governing body. Please never make assertions about things you lack any proper knowledge on. So, no, Israel has NOT been “doing this to Palestinians”
