'Possible Love' actor Jeon Do-yeon could be the first person from South Korea to be Oscar-nominated for best actress.

Director Lee Chang-dong says, “It is still very rare and difficult for an actor in a non-English-language film to be nominated for an Oscar, [and] I believe her performance, which brings such complex, layered emotions to life, can capture audiences’ hearts across language barriers.
