@MarkAmesExiled Bought a Davy Crockett at military surplus and starting world war 3 by shooting across state lines and blowing up a small part of Indiana
@RadishHarmers@poddtadre The 2001 turn of the millennium factoid destroyed so many brains. So many people retrospectively deciding that "top films of the 90s" type of pop culture articles couldn't include 1990 and had to include 2000.
@RadishHarmers@poddtadre I pointed out to one such person that what they were asking for was a "top films of the 199th decade" and they threatened to kill me for being an obnoxious pedant. But no I was just better at being an obnoxious pedant than they were.
@christapeterso Democrats love to say: "Gaza isn't the defining issue of the day, let's focus on..."a bunch of domestic issues I also oppose everything you support
@Midnight_Dasher Nolan frequently has terrible sound mixing. I spent the last 18 years thinking Batman chose Harvey Dent on purpose because I couldn't hear half the dialouge when I saw it in theaters.
@jacobdotgov I'm pretty sympathetic to the idea of Nolan as a right wing filmmaker, but these morons thought he was their style of (extremely stupid) right wing. It's wonderful.
@cushbomb@jacobdotgov Me in 2008: this guy has some chops but he's so goddamn serious. Maybe he should try a comedy
Me watching Birdman in 2014: Jesus christ why did I think this would be a good idea
@ExileGrimm 2. Presidential judicial and executive appointments can pass with one vote but only if already recommended by a majority vote of the house.
3. All further rule changes now require unanimous approval of the senate.
@ExileGrimm And can't be abolished even by constitutional amendment. I've been working on some internal rule changes though.
1. Enough of this 60 votes to pass legislation bullshit. Instead it only takes one.
@chairmanbiden74 Thank god the UK switched to the gregorian calender in the 1750s. If that had happened after 1776 the US would still be weeks off from the rest of the world.
@neosovietposter My French history professor described Blanqui as the guy you release on day one of the revolution, and then re-arrest after the first week.
Survived a mass shooting. I'm fine, but others aren't. Everyone I know can now say they have at least a tangential connection to this now but really they have several. How long do we have to live like this?
