As a woman who works 9-5, a simple thing such as going on a run after work has been nearly impossible over these past winter months as it’s too dark by 5pm. So for women it’s, “not safe”. We are literally choosing between our physical and mental well-being and our own safety.

Victim blaming is still, sadly, incredibly common in this area. Often people blame the victim for sharing the images with someone in the first place. Like many forms of abuse, the focus is on the victim's behaviour not the perpetrator.
