#BounceBackLoans // Twitter account to assist those applying for a #BounceBackLoan with Fintechs and Tech Banks such as @StarlingBank and @TideBusiness
Hi @TideBusiness, I've just received a community question/comment regarding #BounceBackLoans:
"How many new employees [has] @OliverPrill hired to cater to the demand of the #BounceBackLoan Scheme? It would've made sense to recruit a large number of contract staff in preparation"
Hi @NatWestBusiness, I've just received a community question regarding #BounceBackLoans:
"Is it normal to receive a hard credit check when opening a Feeder Account for the purpose of applying for a #BounceBackLoan? I've had 41 points hit off my Credit Score because of this."
@StarlingBank Definitely the right step to take @StarlingBank. Hopefully prevents you from being overwhelmed, and means faster approval rates for existing customers. Closing new #BounceBackLoan applications for (just) the weekend may be something to strongly consider too, to deal with backlog.
And let's take a moment to appreciate the #beauty of @ShawbrookBank's website! ๐ Congratulations on becoming an accredited #CBILS lender with @BritishBBank

Important question @BritishBBank and @StarlingBank
I've just received some legal/financial advice stating I'm entitled to more than I requested for the #BounceBackLoan scheme
Can one change the requested amount AFTER submitting an application and/or after receiving funds? #BBLS
@KatyElleBlake@StarlingBank@chweee3 @Kcnlds @TheSaasyPeople@MartinSLewis Okay, it's unlikely you can apply as a Limited company. Re: Sole Trader, it depends. If you've only been operating a Limited company since (yesterday) your 19/20 should be based on your previous year as a Sole Trader. There's nothing stopping you from continuing as a Sole Trader.
@KatyElleBlake@StarlingBank@chweee3 @Kcnlds @TheSaasyPeople@MartinSLewis Some important questions before advice can be given:
1. Do you still have a Sole Trader account with @StarlingBank?
2. Did you submit a Tax Return for 18/19 #and due for 19/20 too?
3. When did you submit an application to register your Ltd Company, and when did it come through?
@DoOrDont5@StarlingBank They'd need to approve 1 application every #MINUTE ..and work 24 hours straight to approve 1,440 applications in a day. That's a tough call. I'll be writing an article on their operational process soon. So far, they seem to have gone about it the right way. Albeit some confusion.
@DoOrDont5@StarlingBank I genuinely believe they're doing their best. Their workforce isn't as large as the bigger banks but their efficiency, round the clock work, and process puts the bigger players to shame. Personally I'd wait at least 48 hours before following up with them - #BounceBackLoans [Cont]
@Real_Baz@StarlingBank When you upload files on the web, it normally calculates a file size ever-so-slightly larger than what it is. If you have #Adobe PDF, you can compress the file size to make it smaller. Go to "File > Reduce File Size" - #BounceBackLoans
Great news, we're now accepting BBLS applications for sole traders.
If you're already a Starling Business customer, you can apply now through your online banking.ย
If not, you'll need to apply for a business account in the Starling app.ย
